tripleevenfall writes "A Democratic senator is preparing to introduce
legislation that aims to [0]end the golden era of tax-free Internet
shopping. The proposal â€" expected to be made public soon after Tax Day â€"
would rewrite the ground rules for Internet and mail order sales by
eliminating the ability of Americans to shop at Web sites like Amazon.com
and Overstock.com without paying state sales taxes."

I would hope the public is smart enough to see what the president
is trying to do here and not buy into it.

What Do Obama and the Easter Bunny have in common?

Scotty Starnes | April 12, 2011 at 1:28 PM | Tags: Easter Bunny, President Obama | Categories: Political Issues | URL: http://wp.me/pvnFC-51e

1. Nobody has seen either's birth certificate.

2. Both enjoy stealing people's money and then take credit for doing so. One did it for health care. The other did it for candy.

3. Both enjoy dropping little white balls into holes on green pastures.

4. Nobody knows anything these two have accomplished, but some people still believe in them.

5. Both scare little children...and taxpayers.

OK readers. Add to the list

JEW-HATING cartoons have emerged all over the Arab world after Justice Richard Goldstone's retraction in which he reversed the most serious accusation against Israel in the libelous Goldstone Report (the UN Human Rights Council-mandated investigation into Israel's 2009 military operation in Gaza) -  that Israel intentionally targeted civilians. Ex CIA agent to Napolitano: Libyan refugees will come to Jersey

DateTuesday, April 12, 2011 at 12:46AM

http://www.theusreport.com/storage/Wayne%20Simmons%20Ex%20CIA.jpg?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1302584321523Ex CIA agent Wayne Simmons' career in intelligence spanned 27 years. He told Judge Andrew Napolitano Libyan refugees will be brought to New Jersey. [Photo from IntelligenceSummit.org]Ex CIA agent Wayne Simmons appeared on 'Freedom Watch' on Monday and he dropped a bombshell. Simmons told Judge Andrew Napolitano during the judge's nightly show on Fox Business Network Libyan refugees will be flown to New Jersey.

Napolitano, a Libertarian, believes the NATO no-fly zone President Barack Obama justified on a "humanitarian basis" is an unconstitutional action. The judge has also been critical of President George W. Bush.

Simmons said the US Dept. of State has a massive asylum initiative.

That initiative has not always gone well.

Simmons said that's how one of the most dangerous gangs, MS-13, came to the U.S. Simmons said there are also "17 known gangs" from Somalia with a presence here.

"Libyans are on the list," said Simmons. "It is underway and it won't be long before C-17s or commercial jets arrive in Ft. Dix."

Napolitano said there are "huge federal properties in New Jersey."

Simmons said historically, special flights land at McGuire. "And they put them [the refugees] on Range Road." The refugees are housed in tents at first, but then they will eventually be released into the US population.

The ex CIA agent said Obama will use the humanitarian argument as the reason to fly them here.

"There's no way to monitor them," Simmons said. The ex agent believes importing Libyan refugees will pose a national security threat. "It's impossible to run background checks." Simmons said there's no way to know who they are.

One celebrity advocating for refugees was puzzled about the action in Libya. Film star Mia Farrow put forth a question about Sudan where 200,000-400,000 people have been killed and almost 3 million have been displaced.

Speaking at a lecture before the International Relations Council at Princeton University,  Farrow said, "The government in Khartoum is arming Islamic nomadic peoples and giving them license to attack the camps…These partisans are called Janjaweed, which means 'demons on horses' ... I wish that some of the attention that has been directed at Libya would carry over to the Sudan." [The Daily Princetonian]

Napolitano said Libya will produce "a refugee crisis no one saw coming."

New Jersey has long been a designation for refugees. Lutheran Social Services operates the New Jersey Refugee Resettlement Program. The organization said it is "the largest program of its kind in New Jersey."

There is a quote out there that sometimes get attributed to Republican Senate Leader Everett Dirksen and sometimes not. The quote is that there two parties in Washington — the stupid party and the evil party. Every once in a while the stupid party and the evil party get together and do something that is both stupid and evil. In Washington, that is called bipartisanship.

Our United States Senate, led by Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia and Democratic Senator Mark Warner of Virginia are on the verge of leading the Congress into doing something both stupid and evil.

It will be heralded by the Washington Press Corp as a grownup act of bipartisan.

To give you a sense of just how bad it is, even Barack Obama is getting in on the act and signaling he will support what Chambliss and Warner come up with if only as a way to shut down serious conversation about Paul Ryan's "Path to Prosperity."

Last year, Barack Obama formed a Deficit Reduction Commission. The Commission's report came out and Barack Obama promptly treated it like it was an illegitimate child worthy of being shunned.

The White House did not mention it. During Obama's State of the Union address he glossed over and ignored the panel. He punted on every significant issue.

Fast forward to last week. Congressman Paul Ryan introduced his "Path to Prosperity." Even Democrats were calling Paul Ryan "courageous" for his willingness to step out there. The chairmen of the Deficit Commission, Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson, praised Ryan's leadership. Many people noted Barack Obama's absence from the debate.

So Obama has to do something. The Washington Post reports Obama will come out and give a lot of platitudes without much substance, but he will claim that his platitudinal direction is far better than Paul Ryan's substantive direction.

He will have Saxby Chambliss and Mark Warner to back him up.

Already Chambliss and Warner are out subtly criticizing Paul Ryan's plan. They are downplaying its significance and making it clear that it won't pass the Senate.

What Chambliss, Warner, and four other Senators have in store for us is the stupid and evil solution — raise taxes, restructure entitlements, and do it in such a way that it keeps the citizenry of the republic fueling the leviathan.

Saxby Chambliss gave away the game in an interview with the Atlanta Journal. He said, in part, "[Y]ou've got to have enough money to run the government, and then you've got to have excess money to start paying down on that debt."

What we know of the Chambliss-Warner plan is that while entitlements will be reformed and the tax code simplified, restructuring programs, entitlements, and taxes will involve keeping Washington at the center of all reforms.

It is stupid to do this because keeping Washington at the center of all reforms will mean that eventually the leviathan will come looking for future sacrifice again. The appetite will be unabated.

It is evil to do this because these reforms are guaranteed to further enslave future generations of Americans to Washington, D.C.

In Saxby Chambliss, Mark Warner, and Barack Obama's world view, Washington, D.C. is the indispensable party. Any conversation about block grants, handing power and money to the states, etc. is unserious and not grownup. They view themselves as the masters of our destiny.

They will commit us to a bipartisan compromise that, in ten years, we will be having to fix. They will do so in way that makes the nation poorer. But they'll win praise from the Washington media and liberal commentariat.

Conservatives, this is the next fight. They will tie this to the debt ceiling. We can stop them, but we must act fast. Conservatives should stake their ground on a balanced budget amendment and passage of Paul Ryan's reforms.

The stupid and evil compromise must be stopped. It is, at its core, made of the same flawed conventional beltway wisdom where the smartest guys in the room get together, hammer out a deal, have the media praise it, and get it passed. In other words, it is exactly like every other deal that has gotten us into the fiscal mess we are in right now

The Cost of a Government Regulator
April 12, 2011 by Mark Thornton

A new study by the Phoenix Center for the Advanced Study for Legal and Economic Policy Studies found that federal regulators cost taxpayers more than $200,000 each, but cost the economy over $6 million in jobs and productivity.
"In particular," the group says, "even a small 5 percent reduction in the regulatory budget (about $2.8 billion) would result in about $75 billion in expanded private-sector GDP each year, with an increase in employment by 1.2 million jobs annually."
"On average," the Phoenix Center says, "eliminating the job of a single regulator grows the American economy by $6.2 million and nearly 100 private sector jobs annually. Conversely, each million dollar increase in the regulatory budget costs the economy 420 private sector jobs."

Manning will get his day in court. My point is that he had
no problem humliating others so a little humiliation for him is just
fine. I bet it's not so funny anymore for this little Wiki quisling
gay boy. Is it? Exposer begets exposer .

HUD Launches 'Live Free' Campaign to Combat Housing Discrimination Against Immigrants

Hey politicians. Want to cut into Obama's deficits? Stop funding HUD.

(CNSNews.com) - April is National Fair Housing Month, and to mark the occasion, the Obama administration is addressing discrimination in housing based on national origin. The emphasis is on immigrants, legal or illegal.

So now the Obama regime will go after landlords for refusing to rent their property to criminals?

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced on Monday that it plans to educate the public -- through community talks and a media campaign -- about discrimination against "persons of foreign descent."

"Through this education campaign, HUD will work with communities to prevent housing discrimination and promote immigrant integration into the broader society," said John Trasvina, HUD Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.

HUD's "Live Free" national media campaign includes a print advertisement featuring a Latino worker looking into the horizon, with a caption in Spanish reading: "You have the right to live where you choose. Report housing discrimination."

HUD points to Census data showing that "newcomers" are settling not only in "gateway states," but also in communities across the Midwest and South.

The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in rental, sales or home lending transactions based on a person's national origin. This includes discrimination based on a person's ancestry, country of birth outside the United States, and the language they speak.

So if you have an applicant that can't speak English, will the Obama regime force landlords to pay for interpreters?

HUD notes that national origin discrimination often involves immigrants or non-English speaking individuals, but it can also involve native-born U.S. citizens based on their family ancestry. The Fair Housing Act specifically bars discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, disability, and family status discrimination.

HUD recently awarded nearly $41 million to 108 fair housing organizations and non-profit agencies across the country to educate the public and combat housing and lending discrimination.

Many of the groups will use the grants to address discrimination against immigrants, Latinos, non-native English speakers and minority communities.
