Empty Ritual is stymieing America’s hopes

Republican presidential contenders are gearing-up to fight-it-out for
the right to run against… "Obama" in 2012. Every one of those should
be required to answer this question: "Is it FAIR to have hugely
expensive primaries spread over months, with the most 'power' going to
the voters in the corn state of… Iowa? Answer: Hell NO! Nor is it
FAIR to allow political parties to have any say-so, whatsoever,
regarding who the contenders can be, and how the country will be run
once the "winning party" has been decided.

Rep. Ron Paul, that sunken-cheek retread from the 2008 election, has
already raised a million dollars—probably earmarked for brown-nosing
the farmers of Iowa for a chance to become President. Paul's early
polling lead among the announced candidates has him positioned much as
he was four years ago. The same anti-war, less-government crowd who
filled his coffers with hard cash, must still be impressed by his
unwavering positions on most issues. When Paul withdrew in 2008, he
said, "Elections are over quickly. Winning a revolution will take a
bit longer." But instead of leading a revolution, Paul settled back
into business as usual in our broken and corrupt, party-dominated
government. Anyone so corrupted could never lead this country in the
new direction needed.

Judge Andrew Napolitano, filling in for a flagging Glenn Beck, asked a
guest this question: "Who among the possible Republican presidential
candidates do you think Barack Obama would LEAST like to run
against?" The answer to that question isn't as important as the fact
Napolitano is so matter-of-fact that Barack Obama will still be in
office, let alone be a candidate for President in 2012. My above
average computer graphics experience leads me to conclude that both of
Obama's purported birth certificates are bogus. *** In a very public
and straightforward way, the US Secret Service should conduct a
definitive investigation of all "birther" issues, lest they continue
to 'protect' a scoundrel who isn't a bona fide President of the USA.
Napolitano shows his naiveté by recommending we vote for candidates
desiring smaller, lower cost Government who will support… the
Constitution. Over the decades, the Constitution has been ritually
praised. But that document was so WEAK that our government evolved
away from being the Representative Republic the Founding Fathers
surely wanted to mandate. My New Constitution is strength (control
over what goes on in Washington) made manifest!

Donald Trump is being 'tagged' a "birther" and a "racist" by Mort
Zuckerman's NY news paper. Liberals call it a conspiracy that anyone
would wish to apply the same level of technical facility to analyzing
two questionable birth certificates, as was used to assess the Shroud
of Turin, or the remains of King Tut. The long form birth
certificate, which Obama released to the press, was a *.PDF file, not
a photocopy of an original. That file was clearly LAYERS of PDF files
placed one over the other to form a composite, counterfeit
certificate. Detractors of scientific reason, such as my own and the
hundreds of others like me, like to state that "The officials of the
State of Hawaii have confirmed that the birth certificate is real."
Great! (Gag, gag.) Objective, concerned Americans are expected to
defer to the word of officials in perhaps THE most liberal state in
the union. And only one corrupt official would be needed to unbind
and stitch-in a bogus certificate.

I found it most interesting that a supposed girlfriend of the daughter
of the Dr. Sinclair, who purportedly delivered Obama, recalled, ***
after half a century *** a dinner conversation like this: "What
interesting things have happened to you this week, Dr."

"Oh, I gave birth to a kid named Barack Hussein Obama. Isn't that a
pretty name! His mother is named Stanley, like I'm searching in my
family genealogy."

That girlfriend then went on to say that she was "the last surviving
person who remembers Obama's birth." Yeah, right. And that aunt of
Obama who was at his birth in Kenya, must have had a… flawed memory.
And wasn't a Kenya birth certificate shown to be fake? Or… was a fake
birth certificate PLANTED to discredit those seeking the truth?

*** Donald Trump is—in my well-considered opinion—the most qualified
person to be President. I view his being a government outsider as a
200% advantage, because, as has been the case with Ron Paul, the
corruption of the rituals of Washington runs deep for those who've
been there too long. Trump commented that his running as an
independent might actually help Obama by drawing votes from the…
Republican candidate. But know this, Mr. Trump: When Obama's birth
certificates and etc. are recognized as being fake, no candidate needs
to fear helping Obama win. Political parties are UNCONSTITUTIONAL
under the present Constitution. So, all primaries and runoffs should
rightfully be held on the dates spelled out in my New Constitution:
"The 3rd Tuesday in July, voters of all the states and territories
shall reduce the field of presidential candidates to 8, with the
incumbent Pres. & VP to be included in such number, if applicable.
The 3rd Tuesday in October, voters shall reduce the field to four,
with the incumbent Pres. and VP not automatically included. The 1st
Tuesday in November, each voter selects their 1st & 2nd choices—points
4 and 3 respectively. The President and Vice President Elect receive
the highest the 2nd highest total points."

It's obvious that few in the media, including at Fox News, want
Obama's birth certificate to be shown to be fake. Glenn Beck calls
the "birthers" a conspiracy. And Beck discredits my calling Obama the
"Manchurian Candidate," saying, simply, that isn't so. With
regularity, Beck talks about America needing… "manafacturing" (sic)
jobs. And he says… "If they 'would have' done that…" rather than
saying, correctly, if they HAD done that." Beck's regularly making
grammatical errors like those, places his IQ at between 90 and 95—too
low to understand the figurative meaning in calling Obama the
Manchurian Candidate.

Those in the media, such as Britt Hume, Mort Zuckerman and Andrew
Napolitano, want to stampede the voters into believing there will be
business as usual in government. Nothing would so "shake up" the
media and our corrupt two-party government as having overwhelming
acceptance that Obama is indeed a FORGER as well as a bribe-giver and
taker. He did the latter things in arranging the endorsements of the
Clintons, and others, to allow him to become our… Manchurian Candidate
President.

The (White) House cleaning that this country so needs, should be the
end of business as usual in Washington, and the beginning of our
rebirth as a prosperous nation!

Bamboozled: Two Recent Biographies Shed New Light on Liberal Icons

Why are we startled to learn the real truth about Gandhi and Malcolm X? Because journalists are remarkably adept at seeing only what they want to see when a liberal dreamboat comes floating along on a river of lies.

Did you hear that ripping sound? Two liberal icons known by their silly stage names — Mahatma Gandhi and Malcolm X — have just been torn down from their sanctified perches thanks to a pair of massively researched but finally damning new biographies.

Both men, it turns out, were at pains to take on phony identities. Each hid his homosexuality, each was racist, each took pains to manufacture favorable coverage, each was driven by petty hatreds instead of shining ideals — each of these supposedly principled figures was an out-and-out phony.

Perhaps the most delicious irony of this myth-busting is that writers with impeccable liberal credentials are the ones who are doing the exposing — and implicitly rebuking the generations of journalists who actively participated in the distortion and exaggeration.

Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention, by the Columbia scholar Manning Marable, who died just as the book was being sent to stores, shows us a "profoundly flawed individual," Princeton professor of African-American studies Melissa Harris-Parry told NPR, which called the book "an abrupt departure from 'heroic' and 'perfected' visions of the African-American minister that were set in motion by The Autobiography of Malcolm X and perpetuated in American popular culture."

That "autobiography," as David Remnick makes clear in a review in The New Yorker, consisted in large part of Malcolm Little making up tall tales about his life while being egged on by the sensationalist writer Alex Haley, whose later book Roots would also turn out to be mostly fictitious (and partly plagiarized). Haley, says Marable, wanted to write "a potboiler that would sell," facts be damned.

Essential to the Malcolm X legend is the "autobiography's" story that his father was murdered by being laid on railroad tracks by white supremacists. But Malcolm himself said in a 1963 speech that the death was an accident. Haley and Malcolm exaggerated the latter's youthful criminal behavior to make the later redemption myth more salient. They also painted the young Malcolm as uninterested in politics until his famous prison conversion to the nutty preachings of the Nation of Islam, but in fact Malcolm's father was a Marcus Garvey devotee who raised his son in the same school of black separatism.

Marable also casts a skeptical eye on the idea that his subject was a loving husband. Malcolm felt forced to marry Betty Sanders for the sake of appearance and the marriage went bad almost immediately. "The main source of our trouble was based on SEX," Malcolm said in a letter:

She placed a great deal more stress upon it than I was physically capable of doing. . . . One day she told me that we were incompatible sexually because I had never given her any real satisfaction. From then on, try as I may, I began to become very cool toward her.

As for the ultimate source of this tension, Marable reports that Malcolm was probably talking about himself when he told a story about an imaginary friend named "Rudy" who, while serving as a butler to a rich man in Boston, willingly became a male prostitute who would "undress them both, then pick up the old man like a baby, lay him on his bed, then stand over him, and sprinkle him all over with talcum powder. Rudy said the old man would actually reach his climax from that."

Malcolm X, a hate-spewing charlatan ("Jews run the country," he said, while women were "tricky, deceitful, untrustworthy flesh" and a plane crash that killed lots of white people was "a very beautiful thing" because "We call on our God — he gets rid of 120 of them"), was always difficult to take seriously, and few fans are likely to remain after reading Marable's book.

Mohandas Gandhi also successfully hid his homosexuality — his biographer Joseph Lelyveld, former editor of The New York Times, writes in his admiring new book Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi and His Struggle with India that the Indian leader dumped his wife to have an affair with a German bodybuilder, Hermann Kallenbach. "How completely you have taken possession of my body," he wrote to Kallenbach. Gandhi even said that Vaseline was "a constant reminder" of his boyfriend.

If Gandhi was not a rabid anti-Semite like Malcolm, his beliefs in regard to Jews are nonetheless reprehensible. He addressed Hitler as "my friend" in a letter and urged that the Jews pursue nonviolent resistance to the Nazis. He also advised the Jews of Palestine to "rely on the goodwill of the Arabs" and wait for a Jewish state "till Arab opinion is ripe for it."

Gandhi was equally misguided when it came to his own co-religionists, telling fellow Hindus in conflict with Muslims, "I do not mind if each and every one of the 500 families in your area is done to death" as long as they stuck to the idea of passive resistance. He wrote in racist terms about the blacks of South Africa and said the British Empire was an "exact parallel" to the Third Reich.

Why are we startled to learn the real truth about Gandhi and Malcolm? Because journalists are remarkably adept at seeing only what they want to see when a liberal dreamboat comes floating along on a river of lies. We don't even know exactly what Gandhi told reporters. Lelyveld writes that Gandhi demanded — and journalists granted! — the right to go back over his interview transcripts and edit them heavily. Fittingly enough, a state in India has banned the book. And don't hold your breath waiting for Hollywood to remake Malcolm X or Gandhi along factual lines.

Ground Zero visit doesn't excuse Navy's sea-burial honors

The Obama administration is in lockdown on the particulars of their disposal of the most hated man in the civilized world. Officials have refused to release photos or video of bin Laden's capture, corpse or controversial sea burial, instead averring that it was "taken care of in the appropriate way." "Appropriate" seems to be the administration's final word on the matter. The answer to whether a Muslim expert was consulted was that "appropriate specialists and experts" were sought out, while a senior defense official at a Pentagon briefing emphasized Osama was handled "using the appropriate procedures and rituals."

Additional questions on the burial have been decidedly unwelcome — when asked whether American service members were the ones who cleaned the terrorist's body or why he was given an Islamic funeral, Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell sniffed, "I don't think we care to get into those details." John Brennan, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, cut off a reporter asking whether an imam was at the funeral with, "It was done appropriately with the appropriate people there."

For those wondering just what an "appropriate" Islamic burial entails, "Navy Military Funerals," created by the Navy to govern laying their dead to rest, is a bit more forthcoming. Their "Service for the committal of a person of the Muslim faith" lays out explicit steps that must be followed in a Muslim sea burial. The body must have been washed and wrapped "as required for the bodies of Muslims," which refers to ceremonial cleanings that must be done by another Muslim. Those who have gathered to pray at the burial—ostensibly crewmembers since family is not allowed at sea burials—must face Mecca.

Formal funeral prayers must be said—and are specifically listed in the service used by the Navy. In the part of the service in which supplication for the deceased is made, the prayer to be used includes the following:

"O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, pardon him, grant him security, provide him a nice place and spacious lodgings, wash him (off from his sins) with water, snow and ice, purify him from his sins as a white garment is cleansed from dirt, replace his present abode with a better one, replace his present family with a better one, replace his present partner with a better one, make him enter paradise and save him from the trials of grave [sic] and the punishment of hell."

According to the Pentagon, "prepared religious remarks" were read at bin Laden's funeral, but when asked whether his burial was performed according to Navy Military Funeral protocol, they had "no additional operational details or comments to make." Mr. Brennan, however, in his Monday briefing on the bin Laden operation, reassured reporters that, "Burial at sea takes place on a regular basis. The U.S. military has the ability to ensure that that burial is done in a manner that is, again, consistent with Islamic law, as well as consistent with what the requirements are for a burial at sea. And so that burial was done appropriately."

The families of those slaughtered by bin Laden—many of whom were Muslims—might not be happy to learn that the Obama administration may have considered it "appropriate" to ask Allah to "pardon" al Qaeda's evil overlord. Or to petition him to not only let him into paradise but give him a nice, big house when he gets there, with a better family and wife (wives?). How will those families feel about the fact that this sociopath got a better burial than many of their dead loved ones, some of whose circumstances of death made them religiously ineligible for the prayers — or "religious remarks" — he received? The Pentagon's official statement on his burial did not note whether bin Laden's face was toward Ka'aba in Saudi Arabia, as the service instructs, but it did make clear that his body was "eased into the sea."

All of this goes to show that President Obama is walking a fine line in what he wants two different groups to understand about bin Laden's burial. There are those who question why a millionaire mass murderer who was disavowed as practicing a reputedly inauthentic version of Islam received an Islamic funeral. Sea burial itself is an American honor for which only service members, their dependents or outstanding U.S. citizens are eligible. This group is to trust that the decisions made by the Obama administration are the correct, "appropriate" ones and stop asking impertinent questions.

Meanwhile, the other group is subtly being courted with the emphasis on "conformance to Islamic requirements" throughout administration briefings. By reiterating, as Mr. Brennan did at least seven times in his Monday briefing, that the burial was done according to Islamic requirements, he has communicated that the President is more concerned about placating the feelings of Muslim extremists than closure for the American people.

Families of the victims of the 9/11 attacks who want to see photos of bin Laden's corpse must be satisfied with a presidential victory lap at Ground Zero, while radical Islamists can be comforted by Mr. Brennan's repetitive assurances that the burial was conducted according to rites with which they're familiar—ones which inherently confer dignity and respect to the dead

Sending in a SEAL team to blow off bin Laden's head showed presidential leadership. The subsequent handling of the body and burial, however, raises serious questions about Mr. Obama's dominant priority. The constraints involved certainly reveal why a sea burial seemed attractive. But if no other country would take his remains and they absolutely had to be disposed of within 24 hours, why didn't we just tie his body to the back of the carrier (fantail), weigh anchor and see if there was anything left to dispose of by the time our service members were back in the arms of their loved ones? That sort of observance would have shown the respect he deserved.

Like a Democrat, Osama bin Laden wanted to exploit race and class tension to take down America from the inside out. Yes, bin Laden was attempting to use a page from the Democratic playbook to target minority groups. Listen to a Democrat talk and all you see is the race card and class warfare.

ABCNews.com reports:

Osama bin Laden aspired to damage the United States not only through persistent terror attacks, but also by attempting to inflame race and class tensions in hopes of tearing down the country from the inside out, according to officials briefed on the evidence trove recovered from the al Qaeda leader's Pakistan compound.

According to materials in the cache of documents recovered in the U.S. Navy SEAL raid that brought down the terror leader, bin Laden planned to specifically recruit African-American Muslim converts to carry out attacks on the homeland. The goal was to not only kill and maim in the actual operations, but to create a divisiveness that would cause more damage than al Qaeda could ever hope to do on their own.

"Because there were many blacks in the U.S., he wanted to capitalize on them to further the jihadi cause," one U.S. official told ABC News. "Al Qaeda sees the black convert community as ripe for recruiting."
