People in Trouble

http://resources2.news.com.au/images/2011/06/17/1226076/938766-110617-japan-prayer-suicide.jpg

Cracking under the strain: Japan suicide rates jump after disaster.

The Japanese Government has warned of an epidemic of depression and suicide as a result of mental trauma caused by the earthquake, tsunami and ongoing nuclear disaster. The country already has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, but new figures show that the number of deaths has risen by almost 20 percent compared to a year ago. In Miyagi, the region worst hit by the March 11 tsunami, the figures are especially alarming with suicides up 39 percent.

What is happening in Japan and around the rest of the world is presenting new levels of difficulties and challenges and not everyone is up for such tests. Depression and a collapse of the international financial system come with some pretty nasty side effects. Humanity has painted itself into a corner and just about everything is threatening to blow up or fall down. One has to be prepared or one risks getting swept away by events. I think it will be a time for heroes who will protect their families and loved ones from many threats. One has to be prepared mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well as have some preparations for ones physical wellness of being.

Remnants of the old social order will disintegrate. Political and
economic trust will implode. Real hardship will beset the land with
severe distress that could involve questions of class, race, nation
and empire. The very survival of the nation will feel at stake.
                                                                                   Strauss & Howe

The Japanese are not the only ones having serious problems. In the United States, "The unemployment payments, for most, have run out. People's safety nets are destroyed. Housing is collapsing again. Inflation is ravaging what is left of our money. Now we are seeing a rash of violence all over the country, Miami, Myrtle Beach, Rochester, Long Beach, Charlotte, Nashville, Chicago, and Boston. All of this while things are still working. What is going to happen when the dollar collapses?" asks Silver Shield.

The supports that are holding up the American economy are slipping away as federal aid to the states, the Federal Reserve's program to pump money into the economy, and the payroll tax cut are all expiring. An extraordinary amount of personal income is coming directly from the government with close to $2 of every $10 that went into Americans' wallets last year were payments like jobless benefits, food stamps, Social Security and disability. This is not good news because the United States government is already in technical bankruptcy and is so desperate it has even stolen the pension funds of its own employees. If that is how it is treating its own, what can the rest of Americans expect from its government?

It's Not Looking Good

It is not looking good in Europe today and New York is set for a plunge. The next few days will be telling. What is happening now has been heralded by many with events from everywhere pointing in one direction—down. This year, all hell has broken loose in downtown Chicago. "Years of under-hiring has resulted in a police force that is unprepared for wildings and gang violence. Moreover, concealed carry in Chicago is illegal unless one follows the Constitution. Tourists and residents have been attacked by mobs of youths on buses, on beaches, on bicycle paths, near the shops of the Magnificent Mile, and outside their homes. Mobs of shoplifters plagued "Mug Mile" stores, writes Janet Tavakoli for the Huffington Post.

Anarchy in Vancouver

Roving bands of anarchists whipped up booze-fueled mobs to create the worst riot in Vancouver's history. The mayor said there was no advance warning of the strategy, which caught police and city officials off guard. It left more than 150 people injured, more than 50 businesses damaged, 15 cars destroyed and at least 14 officers nursing cuts, bites and, in one case, a concussion.

This is of course just the beginning. None of us are calculating what is happening in the mental health field and what will happen as thousands and then millions of unstable people are abandoned by society as the budgets of mental health services are cut to smithereens. And when millions of patients cannot get the pharmaceutical drugs upon which they have become totally dependent, how many more will go completely berserk and start shooting?

People are growing angrier as they become more aware of what's going on. "It's because the system is falling apart and growing more obviously unfair at the same time. The anglosphere power elite has taken complete control of the U.S.—of the entire West, as a matter of fact. Of course it's always been that way to some extent. Despite what I consider an awakening, we still have large number of people who don't understand what's going on and maybe never will. Some of them are barely capable of critical thought. But those who are aware are growing too and at a faster rate than ever before. What gets people's attention is when the economy is not working. And today there's nothing left to milk in the West. The cow is dry and the cream has been siphoned off," writes Ron Holland.

"People are waking up from a bad dream—or at least beginning to understand why their lives are as they are. They've been robbed, and it's better to live with that knowledge than without it. Once people start to see this gigantic cage of world government being built around them, they will start to do something," continues Holland.

The Floods Few Are Talking About

city underwater.jpg

This is the worst flooding in over 500 years for the Midwest. The Army Core of Engineers has opened floodgates not used since 1937. This is a huge tragedy that will continue to take place throughout the summer months, destroying a tremendous amount of cropland; it's a disaster of massive proportions. True to form, the government does not want us to focus on problems like this, so stay tuned to more honeymoon news of the young royal couple.

houses underwater.jpg

This is suffering—no doubt about it—when your entire neighborhood gets flooded out. People are suffering terribly all over the planet and in some places they are dropping like flies.

http://www.ethiomedia.com/allphoto/somali_refugees.jpg

War and drought in Somalia are leading an unprecedented number of people to flee across the border into Kenya, an aid agency says. Save the Children is reporting that every day about 1,300 people—at least 800 of them children—are arriving at the Dadaab refugee camp. Aid workers at the camp say the children are exhausted, malnourished and severely dehydrated.

Anglican bishop Reverend Victoria Matthews is seeing a "deep weariness of soul" among Christchurch residents. A business leader is hearing accounts of exhaustion, trauma and stress. A clinical psychologist says some people are at breaking point. The two big aftershocks that rattled Christchurch a few weeks ago—magnitude 5.5 and 6—have heaped another layer of anxiety on to those trying to survive in the earthquake-ravaged city.

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTxtmrmCfpFkAu3eh6X13Nr9rZIc0EhBjHwwSgZjzBw4E0U-KHS

A heat wave is building and could reach dangerous levels in parts of the Midwest, the Plains and the Southeast this week. Fifteen states are under heat advisories, which means temperatures are expected to exceed 105 degrees Fahrenheit. That's hot, uncomfortable and dangerous, and just one more way extreme climate change is putting a world of people in trouble.

The heat and the drought are so bad in the southwest corner of Georgia that hogs can barely eat. Corn, a lucrative crop with a notorious thirst, is burning up in fields. Cotton plants are too weak to punch through soil so dry it might as well be pavement. "It's horrible so far," said Mike Newberry, a Georgia farmer who is trying grow cotton, corn and peanuts on a thousand acres. "There is no description for what we've been through since we started planting corn in March."

Preparing for Change

The season of change is upon us and it is accelerating. The climate on the planet is in chaos. Economic upheaval threatens to unravel financial institutions across the planet as sovereign debt mounts. Tensions are rising among ethnic groups. Social unrest is unraveling government institutions throughout the Middle East.

Is it time to make emergency plans like the people are doing at NASA? I recommend that people stock their medical cabinets with medicinals that will see them through most unforeseen medical circumstances they might have to face. Put together a basic first-aid kit for emergencies. Include bandages, magnesium oil for pain relief, plenty of sodium bicarbonate and iodine as well as clay, cold packs, and alcohol. Knowing that you have your first-aid kit ready in your home will give you peace of mind and you can merge survival foods and medicines to make your kit more flexible. We need to secure our water supplies and its quality. And we no doubt need to grow our own food. Look into the exciting technology of earth boxes for growing your own food anywhere.

Most people don't want to know what's coming so they can get on with the business of "living life." But maybe we're supposed to know what is going on and finally look at ourselves for the choices we've made individually and collectively. And as Louis Pasteur said, "Fortune favors the prepared mind," so it does serve us to take a perceptual sweep across the landscape of reality. Gerald Celente has been warning the people and has urged them to forget about hope and change and immediately switch into survival mode.

Special Note: For those interested in what is going on in our solar system, a reader sent me the following which leads to an interesting page on the subject:

"This increase in the annual precession rate is exactly what we would expect from a binary star system, however. In a binary star system, both stars oscillate towards and then away from each other, all the while spinning around some imaginary center of gravity. As the stars approach one another, their velocity accelerates until they reach perihelion (or the closest point of approach), then their velocity decreases until they reach aphelion (or the furthest point of separation). This means that, based on the increasing trend shown in the graph above, we should expect the two stars to be somewhere on the path approaching perihelion. Crutenden believes that the companion star must have just turned the corner at their aphelion point and is now beginning to approach Earth. However, we suspect that it may be the opposite: that the hypothetical companion star is actually close to (or at) perihelion based on the bizarre changes taking place in the Solar System. Either way, this trend of the annual precession rate increasing is exactly what one would expect to find from two stars in a binary orbit following Kepler's law."

Loophole allows accused child rapist to watch child porn in jail

Via Mynorthwest.com: Because of a loophole in the law, an accused child rapist is being allowed to watch child pornography inside the Pierce County jail. Weldon Marc Gilbert, a Lake Tapps pilot, is acting as his own lawyer, which means legally, he can watch videos showing him sexually assaulting young boys.

"We don't like it. We do not want to turn that over, but the court ruling requires us to turn over that material to the defendant," Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist explained. Prosecutors seized more than 100 videos and still photography, some of which were allegedly shot by Gilbert.

Lindquist said the loophole can be fixed, and should be fixed, but it will take some time. "What's absurd about this is we don't give defendants contraband like cocaine, or guns, or stolen property, so why should we have to give them child pornography," he asked.

According to Lindquist, Gilbert must view the videos with an investigator in a separate room away from other inmates. He's visible by jail guards.

This just makes me sick to my stomach.

What do you think, MJ?

> This was more than the percaled agents of "justice" could take. They know a "guilty" person when they see one: it's whoever is charged with a crime by the state! The cable-TV bobbleheads – let's call them Dennis Dullard and Amelia Airhead – began screaming for vengeance, . . . not so much against Ms. Anthony, but against thejurors!Their screeches of rage were echoed by other lobotomized voices, one of whom urged doing away with the jury system altogether. Charles Dickens' Madame Defarge was resurrected! Another shrieked at the "idiots on the jury," while another asked the most irrelevant question as it pertained to this defendant: "who killed Caylee then?"
> It was not the role of thejurorsto find Caylee's killer (if, indeed she was killed rather than dying accidentally). It is the function of thepoliceto search for causal evidence and present it to prosecuting attorneys. If the prosecution concludes that there is "probable cause" to charge a defendant with a crime, it will do so, leaving to the jury the task of deciding whether, "beyond a reasonable doubt," there was sufficient evidence to convict the defendant. Thejurorsdid what they were supposed to do, what the judge ordered them to do. If their critics want to blame someone for Casey's being found not guilty, they should focus on those whofailedat their assigned task: the functionaries of thestate! If blame is to be found, it can more readily be said that police investigators and prosecuting attorneys were unable to fulfill their roles. To blame the jurors who, by their verdict, said "you have not convinced us," is as irrational as a murderer blaming his victim for spilling his blood on his carpeting! Those who talk of abolishing the jury system would be better advised to urge abolishing the prosecution of criminals!
> Perhaps Dennis spent too many of his high school years in "drivers ed" classes, while Amelia was at cheerleader's practice on the day the legal system was discussed in civics class. Whatever the explanation, they knew what is foremost in the minds of all men and women of statist persuasion:the proof of a defendant's guilt is found in the fact that he or she is charged with a crime! What more needs to be asked? How can "enquiring minds" be expected to give up such more pressing inquiries as the identity of the next "American Idol"?
> I have no defense to make of Casey Anthony as a person or a mother. I don't know that much about her to make any such judgment. Her alleged failure to notify anyone of Caylee's being missing until thirty-one days later does not impress me as the epitome of responsible motherhood. But the jury was not assigned the task of judging this woman's character. They understood what Dennis and Amelia did not: individuals are responsible for the consequences of their actions. In a world in which we have become accustomed to dealing with one another in highly abstract ways, it is easy for any of us to express opinions – or courses of action – without feeling any sense of responsibility for what we have put in motion.
> Don Boudreaux offered a powerful example of the adverse consequences of living in a world of abstractions. He spoke of the differences between the wartime experiences of soldiers on the ground – who have to shoot, bayonet, or throw hand grenades at their victims – and bomber pilots who may kill more than the foot-soldier, but whose acts appear to them only as distant "puffs of smoke." While Dennis and Amelia saw the implications of their commentaries as little more than "puffs of smoke," the jurors were required to daily confront Casey Anthony, face-to-face, and determine her life-or-death fate. In another case in which they had not been picked to sit in judgment of a defendant, some of these jurors might have been as impressed by Dennis and Amelia's post-trial babblings as was your cousin Louise in Schenectady. But on this day, they made the choice to liveresponsibly. The words of one of the jurors, Jennifer Ford, should give encouragement that many of our neighbors can rise above the Madame Defarge lynch-mob mindset. As Ms. Ford so well expressed it: "If they want to charge and they want me to take someone's life, they have to prove it. They have to prove it, or else I'm a murderer too."
> Neither Dennis nor Amelia will have the slightest appreciation for Ms. Ford's remarks. They will likely accuse her of being "soft on crime," or a "terrorist sympathizer," as they head for the hardware store for more rope!http://lewrockwell.com/shaffer/shaffer240.html

Eric Holder, You've Got Mail
Some interesting letters from Congress to the Attorney General.
by John Hayward
07/12/2011

The overflowing mailbox of Attorney General Eric Holder includes a few
interesting letters from Congress.

One of them comes from Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), who represents the
9th Congressional District, right next to Tampa. Bilirakis wants to
know more about "Operation Castaway," the latest revelation in the Gun
Walker saga of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and
Explosives. The Congressman writes:

In recent days, it has come to light that the ATF and DOJ may have
participated in the act of "gun walking" beyond the acts conducted
within the scope of "Operation Fast and Furious." Recent reports have
suggested that Project Gunrunner may not have been limited to weapons
trafficking to Mexico and that similar programs included the possible
trafficking of arms to dangerous criminal gangs in Honduras with the
knowledge of the ATF's Tampa Field Division, and the Department of
Justice's Middle District of Florida through an operation known as
"Operation Castaway.

As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and a member
of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, I find it troubling that
the United States government would willfully allow weapons to be
acquired by dangerous criminal and drug trafficking organizations, in
direct contravention to our strategic and national interests.

Bilirakis is not exaggerating when he talks about "dangerous criminal
gangs." The Honduras connection might have put Gun Walker weapons
into the hands of MS-13, widely considered one of the most vicious and
powerful gangs in the world. Here is how the FBI describes them:

They perpetrate violence - from assaults to homicides, using firearms,
machetes, or blunt objects - to intimidate rival gangs, law
enforcement, and the general public. They often target middle and high
school students for recruitment. And they form tenuous alliances...and
sometimes vicious rivalries...with other criminal groups, depending on
their needs at the time.

Congressman Bilirakis leaves no doubt where he stands, after getting a
belly full of Operation Fast and Furious, and wondering if Operation
Castaway will prove to be more of the same:

It is my belief that the ATF and the DOJ operated in an extremely
misguided manner in allowing guns to walk across the border and end up
in the possession of dangerous criminal organizations. These actions
have already resulted in the loss of human life and property. I hope
that you would agree that we must not allow flawed programs to
continue to operate to the detriment of the safety and security of the
United States of America.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Holder's least favorite pen pals,
Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) of the House Oversight committee and
Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA), wrote to ask Holder if his department
has been coaching Gun Walker witnesses:

We have recently learned that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has afforded potential witnesses for
the Committee's investigation into Operation Fast and Furious access
to a shared drive on its computer system replete with pertinent
investigative documents, including official ATF e-mails.

Although our staff has been advised the Department has since
terminated access to this document cache, we write to seek additional
information relating to this egregious decision. We also ask that you
promptly self-report this matter to the Office of Inspector General
(OIG).

You are not in a happy place when the chairman of House Oversight
thinks you have engaged in "egregious" behavior. Issa and Grassley
explain why this is bad:

Allowing witnesses access to such documents could taint their
testimony by allowing them to tailor their responses to what they
think the Committees already know. Additionally, witnesses who gain
access to documents they have not previously seen could alter their
recollection of events. This practice harms not only our

"I did not authorize it; Eric Holder, the attorney general, did not
authorize it." Obama said.
Obama said that he would hold someone responsible if, indeed, a
mistake was made
"There may be a situation here in which a serious mistake was made,"
he said. "If that's the case, then we'll find out and we''ll hold
someone accountable."
===
On May 3, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before House
Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa's committee that
he only learned about the government's sale of weapons to Mexican drug
cartels "in the last few weeks."

But Big Government found a 2009 speech by Holder on the Department of
Justice's own website that proves the attorney general was well aware
of Operation Gunrunner back in 2009:

The problem with Holder's feigned ignorance is that he gave a speech
in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on April 2, 2009, in which he boasted about
Operation 'Gunrunner" and told Mexican authorities of everything he
was doing to insure its success.

When questioned by the media, Holder also denied knowing anything
about Gunrunner:

"Holder's office at first vehemently denied ATF has ever knowingly
allowed weapons to get into the hands of suspected gunrunners for
Mexico's drug cartels," CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl
Attkisson reported.

But at the arms trafficking conference in Cuernavaca, Holder not only
acknowledged the program, he bragged that he was in the process of
expanding it:

"Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break
the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF
personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement
our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the
border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a
new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is
making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail."

So Holder's May 3rd denial appears to be refuted by his own words.

With 43 automatic weapons with serial numbers traced back to the ATF
operation seized during a single traffic stop in Phoenix, and others
showing up in crimes throughout Arizona, the ATF director now claims
that Holder's department is obstructing the congressional
investigation.

DOJ Responds to Operation Fast and Furious by Implementing More Gun-Control

Nope.  No indictments against those in government who handed over weapons to the Methican Mafai.  Just more insane restrictions on the gun store owners who had absolutely nothing to do with this sordid affair.  Of course, this was Obama's plan all along:

Department of Justice Finally Responds to 'Fast and Furious' Accusations, By Mandating More Gun Control
by AWR Hawkins - BigGovernment.com

In a move that should outrage every freedom-loving American, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided that the way to correct the utter failure (and criminality) of Operation "Fast and Furious" is to punish gun store owners.

That's right: in response to the growing public outcry over the hundreds upon hundreds of guns which illegally crossed the border into Mexico with the ATF's blessing, the DOJ is requiring gun stores in Arizona, California, Texas and New Mexico to report individual purchases of multiple rifles of greater than .22 caliber to the ATF.  To quality for special reporting, the rifles also have to have a detachable magazine and be semi-automatic. (In other words, they are similar to many of the 2500 guns the ATF allowed "straw purchasers" to buy during Operation "Gunrunner.")

Upon instituting this new rule late Monday night, July 11, Deputy Attorney General James Cole released a letter explaining that the new reporting mandate is due to the fact that such weapons "are highly sought after by dangerous drug trafficking organizations and frequently recovered at violent crime scenes near the Southwest Border."

Cole added: "This new reporting measure…will improve the ability of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to detect and disrupt the illegal weapons trafficking networks responsible for diverting firearms from lawful commerce to criminals and criminal organizations."

The hypocrisy here is palpable, and it is as repugnant to the rational mind as the DOJ-approved smuggling of weapons across the border was to begin with.

Where's the apology for Border Agent Brian Terry's death?

Where are the criminal prosecutions for every member of the Obama administration that had a hand in Operations "Gunrunner" and "Fast and Furious"?

They are nowhere to be seen because this has been part of the plan all along. As I wrote in a July 8, 2011, post on BigGovernment.com, the administration was hoping "to flood the border with weapons in order to create a degree of chaos sufficient to convince us of the supposed-need for more gun control in America." They failed to convince us of the need for more gun control but via Cole's announcement they are implementing it anyway.

Make no mistake folks, another way to describe this mandate to report multiple gun purchases (which will contain the purchaser's name and personal information) is call it what it is – a gun registration scheme.

And of this you can be sure: the DOJ that couldn't follow an AR-15 across the border without losing it during "Gunrunner" and "Fast and Furious" will have no problems keeping their eye on the guns law-abiding American citizens purchase for sport or personal protection.

ATF E-Mails show Obama Administration using Federal Agencies to Justify Gun Ban through Executive Orders

watch?v=cLn04WZN6hk&feature=player_embedded

This comes on the heels of the ATF's failed "Fast and Furious" scheme that allowed straw purchases of firearms. These firearms ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartel members and are linked to the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

This scheme was hatch by the Obama administration to violate our 2nd Amendment rights. They wanted to escalate the violence in Mexico to point to American guns being the cause. Now the dip-shit-in-chief is attempting to violate American's 2nd Amendment rights by banning certain type of semi-automatic weapons.

Obama and his anti-gun goons are hell-bent on bypassing Congress to enact gun control through executive order. We have seen this blatant disrespect for the Constitution and Congress on many occassions.

You tardos don't cite facts not do you know how to analyze them or think in general

For example, if during a non-election season viewers switch from news to non-news channels, so that FOX viewership drops when there is no election, that doesn't mean much unless CNN and MSNBC etc are gaining in the same period.

Keith, the only one that will be losing their utopia is your selfish
racist police state republitard friends come next election cycle.
Losers?
Maybe that's why you lost the Presidency last time, and will lose
again by even wider margins next time?

Your republitard friends are writing a new book on Losers as we speak.
That's why I don't find it necessary to come here that much anymore...
I just sit back and watch the tards bury themselves.
