National Socialists & IslamoFascists: Rebirth of a special WWII alliance right here in America

by barenakedislam

The special relationship between Hitler and the Grand Mufti didn't end with WWII, it's alive and well at Occupy Wall Street, where Muslims and Leftists no-longer have to hide their hatred for Jews, American capitalism, and financial success. In chilling detail, this report elaborates on the close working relationship between Nazi leaders and the grand mufti [...]

HALAL DOUBLE STANDARD: Selling fake halal meat is a crime but selling unlabeled meat that IS halal to non-Muslims isn't?

by barenakedislam

Last week, we learned that Butterball was selling halal turkeys wihtout labeling them as such. Now, we see that when a store sells meat as halal-certified when it isn't, it has to pay a big fine. Any lawyers out there want to file a class-action suit against Butterball? OC REGISTER  ANAHEIM – Local Muslims who [...]

Happy Meal Ban: McDonald's Outsmarts San Francisco
By Joe Eskenazi Tue., Nov. 29 2011 at 3:13 PM

He's got good lawyers, that one

On Thursday, Dec. 1, the city's de facto ban of the Happy Meal commences. San Francisco has accomplished what the Hamburglar could not. Or has it?

In order to include a toy with a meal, restaurants must now comply with city-generated nutritional standards. Those are standards that even the "healthier" Happy Meals McDonald's introduced earlier this year don't come close to meeting. (As SF Weekly noted in January, the school lunches our children eat aren't healthy enough to qualify, either).

And yet it seems McDonald's has turned lemons into lemonade -- and is selling the sugary drink to San Francisco's children. Local McDonald's employees tell SF Weekly the company has devised a solution that appears to comply with San Francisco's " Healthy Meal Incentive Ordinance" that could actually make the company more money -- and necessitate toy-happy youngsters to buy more Happy Meals.

It turns out San Francisco has not entirely vanquished the Happy Meal as we know it. Come Dec. 1, you can still buy the Happy Meal. But it doesn't come with a toy. For that, you'll have to pay an extra 10 cents.

Huh. That hardly seems to have solved the problem (though adults and children purchasing unhealthy food can at least take solace that the 10 cents is going to Ronald McDonald House charities). But it actually gets worse from here. Thanks to Supervisor Eric Mar's much-ballyhooed new law, parents browbeaten into supplementing their preteens' Happy Meal toy collections are now mandated to buy the Happy Meals.

Today and tomorrow mark the last days that put-upon parents can satiate their youngsters by simply throwing down $2.18 for a Happy Meal toy. But, thanks to the new law taking effect on Dec. 1, this is no longer permitted. Now, in order to have the privilege of making a 10-cent charitable donation in exchange for the toy, you must buy the Happy Meal. Hilariously, it appears Mar et al., in their desire to keep McDonald's from selling grease and fat to kids with the lure of a toy have now actually incentivized the purchase of that grease and fat -- when, beforehand, a put-upon parent could get out cheaper and healthier with just the damn toy.

Messages for Mar and his legislative aides -- who are, at this moment, in a Board of Supervisors meeting -- have not yet been returned.

In any event, it appears the fast food chain's sharpie lawyers have McTopped San Francisco's legislators. Count this city's lawmakers as the latest among the billions and billions served.

3 DNC Chair Associates Indicted On Election Law Violations: The New Charges Are All Felonies.

by Volubrjotr

A Wake County grand jury today handed down indictments alleging that a top aide to Gov. Bev Perdue's 2008 campaign schemed to pay a staffer $32,000 for work that was kept off the books in violation of state election laws. The new charges, all felonies, are part of a long-running investigation into Perdue campaign activities that [...]

Harry Reid Revels 2012 Democratic Strategy: "Blame Bush"

by Scotty Starnes

Do Democrats realize that Bush has been out of office for 3 years and their party has been in control since 2007?

From Politico:

The Senate's top two Democratic and Republican leaders agree on at least one thing: Democrats will try to make the 2012 election about George W. Bush.

It will be an easy strategy to push because Democrats are weak-minded and have no clue about civics. Democrats controlled the House and Senate from 2007 to 2011. Presently, they control the Senate and White House with Obama having been president for 3 years. Did Bush put forth all those bills and policies that are presently sinking the economy?

After occupying the White House for three years, Democrats will try to blame everyone but themselves, including the Bush administration, for the sour economy and jobs crisis, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Wednesday in a floor exchange with Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Reid, a Nevada Democrat and close ally of President Barack Obama, conceded that McConnell wasn't completely off base.

"I do think the presidential election will be based on what took place in the Bush administration, how we tried to recover from that, how things have been exacerbated because of the tsunami and European debt crisis," Reid said.

Yes, everyone is to blame for Democrats spending historic amounts of tax dollars and running up record deficits. Just don't blame a Democrat for their actions. Blame Mother Nature and a guy who hasn't been president for 3 years.

"If you thought Rep. Barney Frank was bad, his likely replacement is worse. Rep. Maxine Waters is Congress' most anti-bank member -- unless she owns stock in one, that is. ... When in 2003, the publicly created mortgage giants [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac] became dangerously overleveraged with weak mortgages, Waters pushed them to underwrite even 'more products where you have no down payments.' She accused critics of the quotas of discriminating against minorities and the poor. ... She lobbied to exclude them and their government-mandated affordable housing charter from the 'sweeping financial reforms.' And she got her wish. She also got another wish: a provision exempting minority-owned banks from the new oversight. Quite interesting. Because at the same time she got that little gem added to the bill, she was under investigation for steering federal bailout money to a troubled minority-owned bank in which she and her husband held a large financial stake." --Investor's Business Daily

Watch Out for Democrat Voter Fraud in 2012

by Dr. Eowyn

The criminal syndicate ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) was shut down after it was found to have engaged in voter fraud in 2008, and after James O'Keefe's undercover sting explosing ACORN employees giving advice to hide prostitution activities and avoid taxes. The exposé led to ACORN's loss of government taxpayers' funding via a "defund ACORN" act passed by Congress. On November 2, 2010, ACORN  filed for Chapter 7 liquidation, effectively closing the organization.

But like the undead, ACORN hasn't gone away. It simply changed its name. Many of its former chapters and branches continue to operate using names such as New York Communities for Change, Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment, and Affordable Housing Centers of America.

One of ACORN's new names is Project Vote.

Writing in Pajama's Media, Nov. 28, 2011, Hans von Spakovsky and J. Christian Adams sound the warning that Obama may deploy Project Vote to rig the 2012 elections.

"When an incumbent's prospect of reelection looks shaky, his temptation to take advantage of holes in the security of our election process is the greatest — especially if he believes he can engage in fraud without being detected. Should we be worried over President Barack Obama's reelection campaign given his prior connections to Project Vote?

Project Vote is an affiliate of ACORN, one of the most corrupt advocacy organizations in recent memory. Its employees have been convicted in case after case of voter registration fraud. They have submitted tens of thousands of fraudulent forms, often on the eve of elections, causing chaos and confusion for local election officials in states ranging from Florida to Indiana to Nevada. Project Vote had to admit in 2008 that its claim of 1.3 million newly registered voters was wrong: at least 400,000 were rejected by election officials because they were incomplete or fraudulent.

Some former employees-turned-whistleblowers claim that flooding election officials with an overwhelming number of new, faulty registration forms was planned conduct, intended to cause turmoil and to make it easier to convince election officials to accept questionable registrations and questionable voters on election day.

As Matthew Vadum outlined in his recent book Subversion Inc., ACORN and Project Vote are interchangeable: "Their staffs overlap, they share office space, and they share money.  Employees migrate between the two legally separate organizations constantly." The board of Project Vote was made up entirely of ACORN staffers and members.

In fact, even the New York Times reported that, based on its own interviews and an internal report conducted by ACORN's lawyer Elizabeth Kingsley, the close ties between the two organizations "made it impossible to document that Project Voter's money had been used in a strictly nonpartisan manner."

The former executive director of Project Vote, Zach Polett (who served at the same time as ACORN's political director), dismissed public concerns about voter fraud. He said such "efforts to curb so-called 'voter fraud' are in reality attempts to disenfranchise and silence our least powerful citizens." As Matthew Vadum writes, Polett channels the grand liberal architects of radical revolution, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. They openly stated what many silently believe, that all "efforts to ensure electoral integrity and the rule of law are illegitimate and aimed at bolstering the oppressive capitalist system." Cloward once said: "It's better to have a little bit of fraud than to leave people off the rolls who belong there."

It should be no surprise that Project Vote added Piven to its board of directors last year.

Despite the corrupt and fraudulent activities of ACORN and Project Vote, President Obama has already dubbed the voter registration part of his 2012 campaign as … "Project Vote." This is not surprising, given his history with Project Vote.

As an alert reader of PJ Media discovered, former state Senator Barack Obama made a great deal of his relationship with Project Vote when he was running for Congress. He ran a one-minute radio ad about utility blackouts in which he bragged about having "headed up Project Vote, registering over 100,000 minority voters." He ran a second radio ad about his taking on the health insurance industry where he again boasted of "working as a community organizer" and turning down high-paying corporate jobs after law school "to become a civil rights lawyer" and to "head up" Project Vote.

Obama was in on the ground floor when Project Vote was organized, and was proud of it in 2004.  Project Vote certainly returned the favor: all of the evidence indicates that Project Vote did everything it could to get Barack Obama elected in 2008, abusing its supposed nonprofit, nonpartisan status.

The testimony of former employees like Anita MonCrief also reveals that ACORN and Project Vote's misfeasance is a longstanding problem. A question that has never been answered is how much Obama knew about (and was involved in) Project Vote's misdeeds and internal policies when, as his ads claim, "he headed up" the organization.

Project Vote's long history of lawlessness does not seem to have embarrassed the president, given he is using the same name for his election campaign's voter registration project. The real question is whether Project Vote will get away with the same kind of abuses in the 2012 election, and whether the president's campaign will be a willing partner."

~Eowyn

One of the main distinctions between conservatives and liberals, besides the fact that most liberals have this self righteous attitude, is that liberals also believe that the issues they support and the mindset that they subscribe to are, "middle of the road";  or that their beliefs are "mainstream";  when in fact, usually, they are just a hair away from being a communist or at a minimum, socialist in thought.  No doubt they are usually not of the mindset of being self supportive, or the American, "Can-Do/Self Reliance"  attitude:

NYT Laugh-Line Headline of the Day: 'Barney Frank, Moderate'

New York Times editorial board member, and former Times reporter, David Firestone is filling in for Andrew Rosenthal this week at the paper's opinion blog The Loyal Opposition. He has apparently been tasked to make Rosenthal seem balanced by comparison, judging by his Monday posting with the laugh-line headline "Barney Frank, Moderate."

Firestone was paying tribute to liberal Democrat Rep. Barney Frank, who has represented the Fourth District in southern Massachusetts for the past 30 years and is retiring now, unwilling to stomach the challenge of running in a redrawn district. Firestone termed Frank, who has earned a lifetime rating of 4 out of a possible 100 from the American Conservative Union, a "centrist." But if Barney Frank isn't a liberal, than who in Congress is?

Even the Times news page admitted the obvious. The headline over Abby Goodnough's write-up on Frank's retirement read: "Barney Frank, a Top Liberal, Won't Seek Re-election." Goodnough devoted two paragraphs to Frank's sexual orientation, compared to three on the influential Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation; she didn't even mention Frank's controversial ties to and defense of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, which many blame for the U.S. mortgage crisis.

Back to Firestone's post on "Barney Frank, Moderate."

Conservative web sites are already cheering Barney Frank's announcement that he will retire from his Massachusetts House seat at the end of his term. But whether or not they say so publicly, many Republicans on Capitol Hill will actually miss him.

He is the most caustically hilarious member of the House, and is anything but the socialist caricature invented by the right.....But economically, Mr. Frank is essentially a centrist. He believes in markets, supported free-trade agreements, and talks often of the need for a "grand bargain" between business and liberals. He worked with Republicans on housing policy and on the bailout of the banks. Nearly a third of the $13.1 million he raised since 1989 came from the financial, insurance, and real estate industries, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

....

Conservatives love to blame him for the housing crisis, pointing to his ties to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Although he could have exercised greater oversight, the connection between the mortgage companies and the subprime crisis is demonstrably false, invented to take the blame away from Wall Street and the big banks.
