An intensive investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security number (SSN) is being used by President Obama: Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, immigrated to the United States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425 (Obama's current SSN) on or about March 197...7.

Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut. Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents.

Obama never lived or worked in that state! Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!

Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died.

Conveniently, Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNsof deceased individuals.

The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig's death, and because he never received Social Security benefits there were no benefits to stop
and therefore, no questions were ever raised.

The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. Citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia
upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured the probate records until she found someone who died who was not receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr Ludwig's Connecticut SSN for Obama.

Just wait until Trump gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O's use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads exploding, because they will have
no way of defending Obama. Although many Americans do not understand the meaning of the term "natural born" there are few who do not understand that if you are using someone else's SSN it is a clear indication of fraud...

Let's all get this information out to everybody on our mailing lists. If the voters of this great nation can succeed in bringing this lying, deceitful, cheating, corrupt, impostor to justice it will be the biggest and best news in decades for our country and the world.

Obama Admin Bans US Aircraft Maker, Favors Non-US Firm with Ties to Iran on Light Aircraft Project

November 20th, 2011

Late Thursday (17 Nov) the Obama administration abruptly knocked Kansas aircraft maker Hawker Beechcraft out of contention for a $1 billion project to make a fleet of lightweight counterinsurgency aircraft for the Air Force. Hawker Beechcraft is, understandably, disturbed and asking questions.

The Air Force has notified Hawker Beechcraft Corp. that its Beechcraft AT-6 has been excluded from competition to build a light attack aircraft, a contract worth nearly $1 billion, the company said.

The company had hoped to its AT-6, an armed version of its T-6 trainer, would be chosen for the Light Air Support Counter Insurgency aircraft for the Afghanistan National Army Corps. The chosen aircraft also would be used as a light attack armed reconnaissance aircraft for the U.S. Air Force.

The piston planes are designed for counterinsurgency, close air support, armed overwatch and homeland security, The Wichita Eagle reported (http://bit.ly/ud7FDM).

Hawker Beechcraft officials said in a news release that they were "confounded and troubled" by the Air Force's decision. The company said it is asking the Air Force for an explanation and will explore all options.

Hawker Beechcraft said it had been working with the Air Force for two years and had invested more than $100 million to meet the Air Force's requirements for the plane. It noted that the Beechcraft AT-6 had been found capable of meeting the requirements in a demonstration program led by the Air National Guard.

"We have followed the Air Force's guidance close, and based on what we have seen, we continue to believe that we submitted the most capable, affordable and sustainable light attack aircraft," the company said.

The company has said that winning the contract would have kept its T-6 production line running after 2015. About 1,400 employees in 20 states – including 800 at Hawker Beechcraft in Wichita – work on the AT-6 and T-6 programs for Beechcraft and its U.S. suppliers and partners.

So that's another 1,400 American jobs lost. And it gets worse. By knocking Hawker Beechcraft out, the Pentagon has limited the "competition" to one company, a company that is not only not an American manufacturer, it's a government-owned entity with ties to our enemies. The company is Embraer, which is controlled by the government of Brazil and has close ties to the government of Iran, as Timothy Lee wrote for the Tatler on Nov. 10.

According to the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, "In 1989, Brazil chose to sell Tucanos, Embraer's relatively low cost and basic military aircraft, to Iran."  Currently, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force operates around 40 Embraer T-27 Tucanos, according to the Washington Institute.  In fact, the Iranians use the Tucano as their primary close air support aircraft.

In recent years, Brazil has continued its troubling friendship with Iran and ruthless leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  The Hudson Institute notes that, "Another area of tension between Brazil and the United States relates to Iran.  In November 2009, President da Silva invited Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Brazil. In May 2010, da Silva helped broker a deal in which Iran would ship only a portion of its low-enriched uranium to Turkey for reprocessing; the rest would remain in Iranian hands, where it could be further enriched for nuclear weapon production."

That willingness to set ethics aside for the betterment of their bottom line illustrates the danger in the US purchasing military aircraft from Brazil.

The matter becomes even more troublesome as news trickles out about the recent Iran-lead assassination attempts on Saudi/US officials on American soil. Even more recently, details have emerged implicating Iran as the mastermind of an illegal plot to smuggle electronic components used in improvised explosive devices (IEDs) out of the US through Iran for US on our troops in Iraq.

Why is the administration making a decision to exclude an American manufacturer in favor of a maker with such a history? This is the Obama administration's second billion-dollar giveaway to the Brazilian government in 2011; the first was its outrageous offshore oil loan guarantee decision in March. The two decisions siphon more than $2 billion and more than 21,000 jobs out of the US economy. Of the two, putting a foreign manufacturer with ties to our enemies in charge of a project to build anti-terror weaponry may be the most disturbing. And this is the Obama administration's second major decision against an American aircraft manufacturer, the first being the NLRB's unprecedented lawsuit against Boeing and its South Carolina Dreamliner plant. Both states impacted — Kansas and South Carolina — are right-to-work states. And then there's this president's sustained rhetorical war against corporate jet owners. Somebody has to make those jets, and Hawker Beechcraft is among the manufacturers indirectly targeted.

This ought to ruffle a few feathers off of one of our readers. I
know, I'll get a response highlighting non intervention, blah blah
blah, but it still reads Mr. Paul supports Israel.

In an exclusive Newsmax interview, Congressman and Republican
presidential candidate Ron Paul confirmed his support for Israel, but
cautioned that while the United States should be a "friend" of the
Jewish state, America should not be the "master" of Israel.

Paul also says the United States should not dictate Israel's borders
or try to "buy her allegiance" with massive amounts of foreign aid. He
argued that foreign aid has actually hurt – not helped – the Jewish
state.

The interview was conducted by Newsmax contributor Doug Wead, a
presidential historian and New York Times best-selling author.

Paul has recently come under fire from some Jewish groups in America.
The Republican Jewish Coalition banned Paul from a debate on Jewish
issues in Washington this week because of his "misguided and extreme
views," according to the group's executive director, Matt Brooks.

Newsmax chatted with Paul to get his side of the issue as the Texas
Republican is surging in some presidential polls.

A new Washington Post-ABC News survey in Iowa shows him threatening
Mitt Romney as the second-leading candidate behind Newt Gingrich. Paul
is now tied with Romney in the early caucus state with 18 percent of
the vote, behind Gingrich's 33 percent.

Rep. Paul's interview with Newsmax follows:

Newsmax: What should our relationship be with Israel?

Ron Paul: We should be their friend and their trading partner. They
are a democracy and we share many values with them. But we should not
be their master. We should not dictate where their borders will be nor
should we have veto power over their foreign policy.

This is not just about Israel, by the way, this is about how we should
conduct ourselves with other countries around the world.

Newsmax: But Israel is not like other countries. We have a large
Jewish population in America. What do you say to those who criticize
your policy toward Israel?

Ron Paul: I think that some not only misunderstand the American
Constitution and the role we should have in the world, they also
misunderstand Zionism. Part of the original idea of Zionism, as I
understand it, was that there should be Jewish independence and Jewish
self-reliance. Today, America doesn't want anyone to be self-reliant.
We want to rule the world and be the saviors of the world and we are
going broke in the process.

Newsmax: Some object to your policy of cutting foreign aid to Israel.

Ron Paul: I have objected to all foreign aid. I define foreign aid as
taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich
people in poor countries. We just can't keep doing this. We don't have
the money anymore.

Stop and consider America's policy: We give $3 billion a year to
Israel in loans; and we give $12 billion or more in assistance to
Israel's self-declared enemies. Some of these are countries that say
they will drive Israel into the sea.

Newsmax: What do you say to evangelical Christians who want that aid
to continue?

Ron Paul: I say to them that our aid in the region is out of balance
and it is wrong. Foreign aid does not help Israel. It is a net
disadvantage. I say to them that "the borrower is servant to the
lender" and America should never be the master of Israel and its fate.
We should be her friend.

In October, 1981, most of the world and most of the Congress voiced
outrage over Israel's attack on Iraq and their nuclear development. I
was one of the few who defended her right to make her own decisions on
foreign policy and to act in her own self-interest.

Newsmax: What then, if anything, should we do for Israel?

Ron Paul: We should share intelligence for mutually agreed-upon goals.
We should honor our pledge to refuse any arms sales that would
undermine Israel's qualitative military edge in the region.

But we should stop interfering with them. We should not announce
bargaining positions even before she begins her negotiations. We
should not dictate what she can and cannot do. We should stop trying
to buy her allegiance. And Israel should stop sacrificing their
sovereignty as an independent state to us or anybody else, no matter
how well-intentioned.

Obama's a Magician: Makes 850,000 Voters Flee the Democratic Party in 8 Key Swing States

by Scotty Starnes

Obama voters are putting down that Hope and Change Kool Aid. Not only is Obama a magician at making money disappear, he is also making Democrats disappear.

From ABC News:

President Obama's uphill battle to re-election is getting steeper.

A report released today by the centrist think-tank Third Way showed that more than 825,000 voters in eight key battleground states have fled theDemocratic Party since Obama won election in 2008.

"The numbers show that Democrats' path to victory just got harder," said Lanae Erickson, the report's co-author. "We are seeing both an increase in independents and a decrease in Democrats and that means the coalition they have to assemble is going to rely even more on independents in 2012 than it did in 2008."

Amid frustrating partisan gridlock and unprecedentedly low party-approval ratings, the number of voters registering under a major party is falling fast, but it is also falling disproportionately.

In eight states that will be must-wins in 2012 – Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina and Pennsylvania – Democrats lost 5.4 percent of their registered voters while Republicans lost 3.1 percent. The number of independent voters in those states jumped 3.4 percent.

"People are frustrated and the way you tune out in American politics is that is you drop the label of the two parties," said Steven Jarding, a Harvard public policy professor and Democratic campaign strategist. "The danger for Obama in this is he is not only going to have to capture them but capture more of them because there are less Democratic voters."

The End of Religious Freedom

Posted By Phyllis Chesler On December 6, 2011

Time has run out for the cause of worldwide religious freedom. On November 18, 2011, America chose not to extend any further lifeline to persecuted religious minorities around the planet. On that day, the U.S. government shut down the work of an important and unique American effort: the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF [1]).

Oddly enough, the mainstream media does not seem to have covered this story. I certainly did not know about it. Did you? The only article about this appeared at CNS News [2].

In 1998, the U.S. government passed the Religious Freedom Act and this commission was one of the results. Since then, it has sent delegations abroad to meet with minority religious leaders in Africa, the Middle East, and central Asia, and released reports about their work. In 2011, their Annual Report [1] covered countries such as Afghanistan, Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, India, Indonesia, and Iran.

In 2011, Nina Shea, the head commissioner, presented testimony [3] before members of Congress about Christian minorities under attack in Iraq and Egypt. In this hearing, Shea reported:

USCIRF has found serious, widespread, and longstanding human rights violations against religious minorities as well as disfavored Muslims. Confronted by these violations, the Egyptian government has failed to take the necessary steps to halt the discrimination and repression against Christians and other minorities. Too often, it has failed to punish the violators.

Shea discussed the New Year's Day bombing in Alexandria, which led to the worst attack targeting Christians in a decade. Carefully, without saying that Muslims or the Egyptian Muslim police were the perpetrators, she refered to the "Coptic Christmas shooting that killed six innocent Christians in Naga Hammadi." Over the last two years, the Egyptian government, media, and network of mosques have systematically engaged in violence and in the coverup of that violence against Christians.

In an interview with PJ Media, Shea said,

With the onslaught of the Arab Winter and the threat of newly politically empowered Islamists suppressing the freedoms of religious minorities and even carrying out religious cleansing campaigns against them, USCIRF is needed more than ever. Its voice carries official weight and it has vigorously and consistently raised it within and outside the government on behalf of a broad array of persecuted minorities and individuals around the world. At this time, USCIRF is winding down its work, as it is legally bound to do, since its authorization ends on December 16. As reported in the Congressional Quarterly, Senator Durbin of Illinois has blocked the USCIRF reauthorization for several months, reportedly in order to get an earmark to fund a prison in his state. He has been intractable. President Obama — who served with Mr. Durbin in the Senate before becoming president and who has expressed an interest in using the prison at issue for holding detainees from Guantanamo Bay – must speak up, if USCIRF is to continue. President Obama can make this happen and I appeal to him to do so.

Why would the American government shut down USCIRF now? Some might say that we are in an economic recession and must care fo our own before we can help others. Some secular Americans might simply want freedom from religion rather than of religion. They may not care about the choice to practice one's religion or whether or not people are being persecuted for doing so. And some Americans may agree with the UN view [4] that Muslims and Islam are not to be criticized and that any accurate portrayal of Muslim behavior may be treated as a crime.

Next: The USCIRF's opponent still pursues its totalitarian aims with the blessing of the global community…

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the Durban Follies, constitutes a permanent delegation to the UN. The OIC was established in 1969. Its position [5] is as follows: it seeks to

pursue as a matter of priority a common policy aimed at prevented defamation of Islam perpetrated under the pretext and justification of the freedom of expression in particular through media and internet.

In 2011, the 38th Conference, held in Kazakhstan, stated "deep concern over any activities carried out by certain governmental and non-governmental organizations supported by governments in order to attack OIC member states for political purposes and to further their foreign policy objectives in international forums." The conference also denounced "media campaigns and fabrications made by some quarters in non-member states regarding the mistreatment of non-Muslim minorities and communities in the OIC member states under the slogans of religious freedoms and so on."

In other words, attempting to help a Christian escape genocide in Egypt, Iraq, or Pakistan would be outlawed as would all work that reports on religious persecution. What I'm writing here would be criminalized. The Muslims who drafted this document want to do their gender cleansing without being exposed, stopped, or held liable for it. That's the OIC at the UN.

The United States, to its credit, shunned the UN's Durban III conference. However, in 2009, the Obama administration eliminated the phrases "Islamic extremism," "Islamic terrorism," and "terrorism" from national security strategy documents [6]. We have also seen a quantum increase in fears about a non-existent "Islamophobia" and a similar quantum decrease in "official" fears about an escalating anti-Semitism which in the Middle East is potentially genocidal.

Many European politically correct/anti-racist governments agree with the OIC Conference. For example, European governments have prosecuted "thought crimes" which involve criticism of Islam or any objective presentation of Islam (honor killing, honor related violence, forced marriage, daughter and wife beating, etc.) that some Muslim somewhere finds offensive — in Holland, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Iceland etc. I myself have called this the death of free speech in Europe [7].

Recently, I was involved in the case of a Pakistani apostate, Khalid Saheed [8], who sought and was denied political asylum in Sweden. Predictably, he and his family have received death threats from Islamic fundamentalists. If Saheed and his family are sent back to Pakistan, they will be murdered for leaving Islam. This is the true state of religious tolerance in the Muslim world. There is no such freedom and USCRIF has boldly exposed and published this truth.

Finally: What does Dick Durbin have to do with the death of the USCRIF?

Perhaps there are simpler reasons involved in the death of USCRIF. The bill to continue funding it was held up by just one man, Senator Dick Durbin (D-Ill). Durbin may not necessarily oppose aiding religious minorities as much as he is in favor of delivering pork barrel to his constituents. Thus, unbelievably, only until or unless the Thomson Correctional Center in northwest Illinois is funded and/or funded for the purpose of holding Guantanamo Bay detainees, there can be no funding for religious freedom anywhere else on earth.

Politics is a decidedly unfunny business. I usually tell people that a politician is, by definition, a thief and a liar, but that he or she is also a balancer, a compromiser, someone who is always in a position to sell one cause for the sake of another, to help one person and not another, to borrow from Peter in order to pay Paul. This is both how democracy works and how things get done in non-democratic countries as well. Cronyism, greed, arrogance, intolerance, injustice, occasional mercy, occasional do-goodism characterize how humanity in the aggregate behaves.

We know that most Muslims are not friendly toward any infidel religion, including Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, etc. Christians have been — and still are — savagely persecuted in Muslim lands. I and many others have often written about this. Author and apostate Nonie Darwish and ex-Muslim secularist Ibn Warraq have both spoken out about this burning issue.

Christians are being savagely persecuted in Egypt and all across the Middle East and Islamic world.

In Pakistan, Christians have literally been crucified, teenaged Christian girls have been kidnapped, raped, and then forced to marry their rapists and convert to Islam. In 2010, a Muslim mob attacked a Christian man and slaughtered him with pick-axes for refusing to convert to Islam.

Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Afghanistan do not allow Christians, Jews, or other "infidels" to pray openly or to build any new houses of worship.

The Arab Muslim Middle East is almost completely "Judenrein" (free of Jews) since more than 800,000 Arab Jews were exiled or forced to flee their countries between 1948-1968.

Mina Nevisa is an Iranian Muslim convert to Christianity who wrote a book about her experiences. Both she and her female cousin were attending an underground Christian church in Teheran which put them in danger. Nevis fled Iran together with her husband. Her cousin was not so lucky:

She was arrested on charges of apostasy and taken to Evin prison, where she was raped, tortured, and then killed by a firing squad. Their pastor was also killed.

Muslim apostates in Europe also face perilous challenges. Egyptian-Italian Magdi Cristiano Allam, who was converted to Catholicism by the pope, lives with six round-the-clock bodyguards. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Somali-Dutch-American apostate-secularist, also requires a full-time security detail. People who do not have public profiles, who are not academics, intellectuals, politicians, or public speakers, also face similar danger.

Tomorrow, the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission hosts a hearing on the "Worsening Plight of Egypt's Christian Copts." [9] Nina Shea, the head commissioner of USCRIF, is a keynote speaker. Clearly, USCIRF provides invaluable information concerning the injustices levied against religious minorities in the Middle East and in the Islamic world. Congress must reinstate the US Commission for International Religious Freedom — to do otherwise would be immoral, dangerous, un-American, and unacceptable.

Minimum wage comes under the spotlight

----------------------------------------------------------

Over three-quarters of European Union member states have a minimum wage; the issue is in the Swiss spotlight after local votes in cantons Neuchâtel and Geneva.
In January the Trade Union Federation launched a people's initiative calling for a minimum wage of SFr4,000 ($4,350) per month – triple the European average – and is expected to hand in signatures to force a nationwide vote early next year.

On November 27, 54 per cent of Neuchâtel voters agreed to the principle of a minimum wage being written into the cantonal constitution. Meanwhile, the same percentage threw out the idea in Geneva.

Switzerland's largest trade union, Unia, welcomed the Neuchâtel decision, which it said was a "sign of growing awareness among the population about wage dumping". Canton Jura is the only other region which has a similar principle in its constitution, but has yet to adopt a law for its implementation.

"Unions have quite a bit of weight in canton Neuchâtel, which has industrial sectors like the watch-making industry, and which would benefit considerably from the creation of a minimum wage," Jean-Marc Falter, an employment specialist from Geneva University, told swissinfo.ch.

The researcher, who works at the university's "Employment Observatory", said Geneva had a totally different profile: more financial and less union-oriented.

The Neuchâtel authorities and their social partners still need to define the exact minimum wage figure, however.

According to the Federal Statistics Office, the gross median wage in Switzerland over all sectors – with an equal number of workers above and below – was SFr5,979 a month last year.

While workers in Neuchâtel earn on average SFr5,600 a month, those in Geneva take home SFr7,000. Unia says ten per cent of Neuchâtel employees earn monthly salaries of less than SFr4,000.

"We'll have to be precise so that firms don't leave. A company specialising in packing for the watch industry could be tempted to do so in nearby Franche-Comté in France, in canton Jura or canton Vaud," said Thierry Grosjean, Neuchâtel's economics director.

Test cases
The two cantonal votes represent early test cases for the Trade Union Federation, which is campaigning for a national minimum wage.

It launched a people's initiative in January 2011 calling for a minimum salary of SFr22 ($23.20) per hour at 2011 rates, or around SFr4,000 per month. This would apply to everyone except apprentices, trainees, family businesses and voluntary workers.

Firms, however, generally argue that minimum wages are damaging for employment. Business groups like the Swiss Building Association say countries with minimum wages have not managed to drive down unemployment rates.

And in recessions a minimum wage would cause firms to move abroad and obstruct the creation of new jobs.

Falter is less categorical: "The impact of a minimum wage on an economy depends on its level and on the economy's competitiveness; it has less impact on a more competitive economy."

In Switzerland six per cent of the population – or 250,000 people – are working poor employed full time, he said, but earning salaries that "prevent them from having a decent life".

Falter said Switzerland had a commitment to these vulnerable, poorly paid workers, which was possible either via a minimum wage, or through general labour agreements. A third way was direct aid to the most vulnerable in society, he added.

General labour agreements
But a recent research paper by the Trade Union Federation, "Minimum salary and necessary measures", claimed that collective labour agreements were no guarantee for staff welfare.

At the moment only certain branches of industry have general labour agreements, covering 50 per cent of the working population.

And only half of all workers covered by a collective agreement are guaranteed a minimum income, well below levels in other European countries like Austria (99 per cent of all workers under general labour agreements), Finland, (90 per cent), Sweden (91 per cent), Denmark (83 per cent ) and Norway (79 per cent).

The creation of a minimum wage is a legal issue, but above all political, said Falter.

"Unions try to tell employers that if they are not serious about implementing collective labour agreements they face greater state intervention via a minimum wage," he added.

Wage dumping
On December 2 the Swiss union Unia denounced a case of wage dumping in canton Jura: six foreign construction workers employed by a Polish firm were paid €10 an hour instead of €24 per hour agreed upon under a collective bargaining agreement.

Unia is calling for stricter checks on construction sites, tighter sanctions against wage dumping as well as the introduction of a minimum wage. Unions want tougher regulations to protect workers from the negative consequences of the free movement of people accord with the European Union.

In May the Swiss Trade Union Federation called on the government to set up a national task force, which would include union representatives, to fight wage dumping.

At the beginning of May, a Seco report on 2010 said that 38 per cent of foreign companies which use foreign labour in Switzerland did not respect collective labour accords.

Moonlighting
The new federal film archive centre under construction in Penthaz, canton Vaud, has been singled out after reports of illegal moonlighting on the building site on French-Swiss television on December 4.

The illegal workers were allegedly employed by a sub-contractor, which had in turn been hired by the company working for the government.

Unions regularly criticise examples of moonlighting. In 2007 the government launched a campaign to crack down on the problem and a new law came into force in 2008.

The United States of America may potentially be on the precipice of a Greek-style debt crisis within a few years, and our economy is increasingly looking like it may be at risk of entering another recession – and the Financial Crisis 2.0 could make the Great Recession look tame. Simply put, the Fed and Treasury have bloated their balance sheets to such grotesque levels to fight the deflationary forces sparked in the economy as a result of the housing collapse that there will be no more temporary "smoke-and-mirrors" fiscal and monetary options to circumvent another downturn.

Certainly, the Fed will likely give QE3…QE4…QE5, a shot if the economy becomes completely unglued, but similar to what has occurred in Japan for the last 20 years, it will not work. We have already seen what Mr. Bernanke's money printing in the form of QE2 has wrought – it has robbed the middle class blind, while benefitting the entrenched corporate, banking, and political elite, along with wealthy Americans. The vast majority of Americans do not have sufficient financial assets such as bond, stock, commodity and hedge fund portfolios to offset the rise in food and energy prices that Bernanke has unleashed on the country due to his policy of Dollar devaluation through money printing.

The entire burden of a falling Dollar as a result of QE2 and the United States' exploding debt has been placed on the middle and working classes, while the elite have benefitted from rising prices for financial assets. It is a scam. Furthermore, it hasn't provided one iota of benefit for the vast majority of American citizens. The unemployment rate continues to hover at 9.1% and very likely could hit double digits by next year.
Furthermore, home prices hit a new low in May. This is the one asset that matters most to the majority of Americans, and things are getting worse. The creator of the Case-Shiller Home Price Index, Robert Shiller, recently said that he was optimistic that home prices could fall for the next 20 years. In all likelihood, there will be no economic recovery whatsoever when the dust settles. The bailouts, federal deficit spending, and quantitative easing programs that were enacted to attempt to reflate asset prices and spark the job market will be viewed by historians as failures. The entire Keynesian orgy's real result is likely to be an even more devastating financial collapse.

The toxic debt that was held by the private sector before the crisis has now been transferred to sovereign balance sheets as well as those of global central banks. Furthermore, many private corporations have taken advantage of the Fed's historically low interest rate policy to lever-up their balance sheets once again. These facts when combined with the moral hazard that we have introduced into our economic system as a result of the bailouts (corporate socialism), similar problems in most of the developed world, and an unprecedentedly interconnected global economy have set the stage for a potential systemic meltdown.

All of this could have been averted if we had taken heed of Dr. Ron Paul's warnings years ago. This man has been fighting with absolute integrity and honesty for the values that this country was founded on for the last 30 years – sound money, balanced budgets, free markets, non-interventionist foreign policy and civil liberties. Most every other GOP Presidential candidate is an Establishment panderer who is beholden to entrenched special interests. Why should we trust another Establishment politician after being subjected to the lies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama, not to mention nearly every other politician in Washington D.C.?

Obama's lies have been egregious and on par with those of President Bush. He lied about closing Guantanamo Bay. He lied about bringing the troops home. He resigned the Patriot Act after saying that he would would not. Furthermore, Obama is targeting American citizens for assassination without due process. This is in addition to the socialist, big government, programs he has passed such as ObamaCare, which was opposed by the majority of the American populace. Domestically, our spending has gotten completely out of control. President Bush got the ball rolling, and President Obama has sped up the process of destroying the country through debt.

According to a a recent Treasury report, the national debt will exceed the size of the economy this year. Just one year ago, the Treasury had said that the debt to GDP ratio would not break 100% until 2014. Can we really afford to elect Obama for 4 more years given that our debt/GDP level is estimated to hit 102% in 2012? Can you imagine what a U.S. default would look like? How about civil unrest, a collapsing Dollar, and unemployment rivaling the Great Depression.

Make no mistake, this country is on the precipice of crisis and we need to make radical changes. The 2012 Presidential elections may present one of the last opportunities for the American people to rise up against the oligarchy that has run this country into the ground for their own personal benefit at the expense of the majority of the citizens of this deteriorating Republic.

Amid the terrible domestic economy where another recession (depression?) seems likely, our politicians are still overseeing a disastrous foreign policy that is bankrupting us. We have been lied to repeatedly. We have been propagandized mercilessly by the mainstream media. We have been made to live in fear under the "War on Terror," yet we have not been given a clear message about how this war can be won. How do you win the "War on Terror" by invading and occupying a sovereign country that had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda, and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians? We are engaged in wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, and we are bombing Yemen and Pakistan all the while threatening Iran. How is this going to stop terrorism? Please tell me! We are creating more terrorists, while at the same time giving the extremists opportunities to kill Americans day in and day out. Why? If anything, we are galvanizing their cause in the eyes of other Muslims. Furthermore, we simply cannot afford more war mongering and militarism. Period.

Into this void has stepped a man whose reputation for integrity, honesty, and principles is unimpeachable. He has ideas which address nearly every single problem that this country faces. He wants to follow the Constitution, restore civil liberties, end the foreign occupations, downsize government, restore sound money and reform the Entitlement State. If we elected Dr. Ron Paul would all of these things happen overnight? Of course not. Many of his solutions would take years to successfully implement, but the ideas are powerful and very important. Ron Paul represents the idea of a radical reformation of our country – based on the principles enunciated by the founding fathers.

These ideas were profoundly powerful when they were written down in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. If Ron Paul can sufficiently stir the American populace, his ideas will take root even if he does not subsequently win the GOP nomination. If this happens, U.S. policy and the entire course of our country could shift much faster than most people realize. Nothing is more powerful than an idea, and few ideas are as powerful as the concept of liberty. It is time that we finally tried something different. Ron Paul represents real change.

For the Record : Ron Paul 101

Molotov argues persuasively for why Ron Paul is dangerous to Obama. He's the Avenger! He'll take a pair of pliers and a blowtorch to the federal government!
