President Barack Obama has repeatedly portrayed himself as the world's leading advocate for scientific progress; in fact, he has consistently touted himself as the man who will "restore our commitment to science." So why are liberals so ignorant of science?

Liberal Media Bias? Record 19 Reporters/Media Executives Join Team Obama

Well the media got Obama elected so I guess they figured they should at least get paid to spread his lies and propaganda.

From Beltway Confidential:

For some Washington reporters and media execs, cheering their team from the sidelines just isn't good enough: Tugging on a red, white and blue Team Obama jersey is the answer.

That's the case for a whopping 19 journalists and media executives, including five from the Washington Post and three each from ABC and CNN, who've gone into the administration or center-left groups supporting the president.

Those inside the administration hit 14 this month when the Post's Stephen Barr joined the Labor Department. That's a record, say some revolving door watchers, and could even be much higher: The Post reports that "dozens" of former journalists have joined the administration, although Washington Secrets couldn't verify that tally.

Many are in communications and speech writing offices, most prominently Jay Carney, the president's spokesman who ran Time's Washington bureau, and husband to ABC's Claire Shipman. Some joined as the news business collapsed, many to finally voice their politics, and others, notably former Transportation spokeswoman Jill Zuckman, because she liked her future boss, Secretary Ray LaHood, a rare Republican in the administration. That relationship rocked: LaHood broke through the lower-tier Cabinet P.R. ceiling to become one of the most well-known Transportation secretaries ever. She had worked for the Chicago Tribune.

The revolving door isn't a surprise to critics of the media and Obama. "The number of reporters going into the Obama administration merely confirms what I knew and what most conservatives long believed," said Noam Neusner, himself one of the few reporters hired as a Bush speech writer. "There is a vast supply of liberals in newsrooms, they are very happy to support Obama administration policies if they can get hired and they barely hide their ideology in the way they cover the news." Neusner, who I worked with at U.S. News, said that he too might have been guilty of a pro-Bush bias, but said correctly: "My editors and colleagues were surprised to hear that I was a Republican."

COLORADO student choir members could be killed for singing the Islamic song

You've heard about the Christian student who had to quit school because he refused to sing an Islamic song in the choir and received death threats because of it. What you don't know is that singing the song could put all non-Muslim students in danger, as well.

Turkish Muslim reveals that by singing the song 'Zikr,' you are reciting the words of the Shahada which means you are accepting Islam. If you deny that you are a Muslim after saying those words, you could be executed in strict Muslim communities.

Not only does Rev. Al have a problem with paying his taxes, he has problems paying his car insurance.

From the NYPost:

The Rev. Al Sharpton tried to move heaven and earth yesterday to keep his SUV from being towed at La Guardia Airport — but no amount of preaching could stop Port Authority cops from impounding the vehicle.

An officer rolled up on the 2008 Lincoln Navigator at around 2 p.m. outside the Delta and US Airways terminal as the MSNBC host's driver waited to pick him up in a clearly marked "no standing" zone, said PA Police spokesman Al Della Fave.

PAPD cop Oscar Ruiz asked the driver for his paperwork and quickly discovered that the SUV had a suspended registration "due to lack of insurance," the spokesman said.

At that point, Sharpton emerged from the terminal after a flight from Washington, DC, and raised holy hell over the situation.

"He begins yelling, saying the cop was just doing this because of who he was," a source said.

"Sharpton was adamant there was insurance," the source said. "He said he was on the phone with his lawyer, and he told the driver not to give the officer his keys."

But the driver ignored his boss and turned over the keys to the cop — who issued the vehicle three summonses for illegal parking, lack of insurance and suspended registration.
