Zialloh Abrahimzadeh allegedly murdered his wife in front of 300 people at a Persian community celebration at the Convention Centre in March 2010 by repeatedly stabbing her in the back.

The couple's eldest daughter, 25-year-old Atena, has testified against her father. She told the court he was an abusive and aggressive man. Ms Abrahimzadeh said her father regularly punished his wife and children by slapping and whipping them. She said he once beat her for an hour after catching her talking to a boy on the phone and tried to suffocate her with a pillow.

For the last few days, the Shahjahanpur district administration has been trying to convince villagers of Katiya Kammu to let their women vote on March 3. The village's Muslim women have not voted for an estimated three decades, the prime reason being that the villagers strictly follow a custom of purdah.

More than 2,500 women and girls living in Ireland are estimated to have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM), according to new research by AkiDwA, a national network of African women living in Ireland. The number was described as a 'conservative estimate' by Sudha Patel of Duke University, North Carolina, who conducted the research. It is feared that the figure is in fact much higher.

Afghanistan
Afghanistan's government appears to be scaling back its support for women's rights to advance peace talks with the Taliban ahead of the withdrawal of foreign troops, Afghan lawmakers and human-rights activists warned Tuesday.

A government-appointed council of 150 leading Muslim clerics last week urged the strict application of a conservative and literalist interpretation of Islamic law regarding women. The council said Afghan law should require women to wear the veil and forbid them from mixing with men in the work place or traveling without a male chaperone. "Men are fundamental and women are secondary," the Ulama Council said in a statement on Friday, according to a translation by the Afghanistan Analysts Network.

Spain (h/t to the religionofpeace)
A Spanish imam near Barcelona is under investigation after allegedly calling on the faithful to "discipline" errant wives using physical and psychological violence, police said on Tuesday.

Morocco (h/t to InfidelsAreCool)
Angry Moroccans are demanding a change to the country's strict Islamic penal code after a 16-year-old girl killed herself after being forced to marry her rapist.

An online petition, a Facebook page and countless tweets expressed horror over the suicide of Amina Filali, 16, who swallowed rat poison on Saturday in protest at her marriage to the man who raped her a year earlier. Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code allows for the 'kidnapper' of a minor to marry his victim to escape prosecution, and it has been used to justify a traditional practice of making a rapist marry his victim to preserve the honour of the woman's family.

Antigay Attack Under Investigation in Ohio College Town
By Trudy Ring

Michael Bustin Two Ohio men who were beaten while walking home from a
drag show were apparently targeted because they're gay, police say.

Michael Bustin, a student at Miami University in Oxford, was walking
home Saturday with a friend, with whom he briefly held hands, when he
heard someone yell a derogatory term, he told Cincinnati TV station
WLWT. Then four men approached them, and one began beating Bustin's
friend.

"I got in the way of the two, saying we wanted to go home. We didn't
want any harm. Then I got sucker-punched twice in the face," Bustin
said. The attackers fled after some other students intervened.

Oxford police believe Bustin and his companion were attacked because
they're gay, and the police department is working on sketches of the
suspects, the TV station reports. There has also been quick reaction
from the university, which sent out a bulletin about the attack, and
the dean contacted Bustin.

"It actually made me feel humbled that the university looked into my
matter," Bustin said. "I just want this to be a message. Just stop
hate."

A Lesson for Carson Daly on 9/11 Hero Mark Bingham
By Jeremy Kinser

Carson Daly had obviously forgotten about the heroic effort of the
late Mark Bingham when he joked that gay people wouldn't have been
able to restrain the JetBlue pilot who suffered a mid-air meltdown
Wednesday. No one knows exactly what happened after Bingham, a gay
man, and other passengers stormed the cockpit on September 11, but
it's safe to say they were the inspiration for the new culture of
activist passengers on planes these days.

Daly, who is also a producer and host of NBC's The Voice, quickly
issued an apology via his Twitter account, saying, "This morning on my
radio show I attempted to make fun of myself & offended others by
mistake. I sincerely apologize."

Daly was joking about JetBlue pilot Clayton Osbon, who had a breakdown
on a flight between New York and Las Vegas. He reportedly started
shouting about a bomb, was locked out of the cockpit, then passengers
jumped into action and used seat belts and plastic handcuffs to
restrain him. TMZ reports that Carson discussed the pilot during his
radio show this morning. "Most of the people were on their way to some
sort of security conference in Las Vegas," Daly said. "It was like a
bunch of dudes and well trained dudes... thank God."

Daly joked, "With my luck, it would be like 'this is the flight going
to Pride in San Francisco... I mean, that would be my colleagues. Uh,
we're headed down to Vegas for the floral convention." Daly then
affects a lisping, stereotypical voice to imitate a gay passenger,
"Oh, no, no thanks you. Handle it!"

The Advocate's Hall of Fame honoree Bingham, a 6-foot-4 gay rugby
player, was on board United flight 93 on September 11, 2001 and was
among passengers who stormed the cabin, preventing the al-Qaeda
terrorists from slamming the plane into either the U.S. Capitol or the
White House.

Listen to Carson's comments below.

White Supremacy in Detroit
Posted by Karen De Coster on March 29, 2012 02:33 PM

By now, everyone knows that the city of Detroit is financially insolvent. The state of Michigan has been on the city's back door, for months, ready to take over the city's finances in order to avert a bankruptcy. Recently, a financial review team was sent in by governor Rick Snyder to perform a financial review to understand the severity of the city's financial distress. The review team members hosted a bunch of angry protesters who showed up to shout out and save their city from evil white people. One man who you will see in this video, a "minister" named Malik Shabazz, stood up and declared, "This is white supremacy, and we will fight you. And before we will let you take over our city, we will burn it down first."  If you watch the video, you will note that the review team is comprised of both black and white members. But the governor, Rick Snyder, is white.

When Shabazz was interviewed by the local media, he refused to recant or apologize for the remark. In fact, he called himself a "student of history" and claimed that the financial review and potential takeover of the city's finances was "fascism." He can't even get basic definitions correct. He goes on to blame the Banksters and their subprime scheme and housing bubble for Detroit's dilapidated blight, in spite of the fact that the city's decay began thirty-five years before the housing bubble. You have to see this video of the "minister" to believe that he really exists and he is not a cartoon character.

For a bit of history, Coleman Young, who was black, served as Detroit's first openly Communist mayor from 1974 - 1994. Only his failing health allowed us to get rid of him. Dennis Archer, a black man and former Michigan Supreme Court Judge, was mayor from 1994 - 2001. Archer gave up because he was a good guy and the city was too corrupt for him to fix. Kwame Kilpatrick, the black hip-hop mayor, served as the city's Fraudster-in-Chief from 2002 - 2008. We didn't get rid of him until he was carted off to jail for the most minor (felony obstruction of justice) of his many crimes. Ken Cockrel, the black city council president, took over in the interim from 2008 - 2009. From 2009 to the present, Dave Bing, a very successful and decently honest black entreprenuer, has run the city. He only inherited Kwame's mess; he didn't make it. All things considered, the city of Detroit has been run by blacks and the black majority unions for 40 years. That hardly seems like "white supremacy" to me.

These very issues which were discussed between Moonbat Extraordinaire Jimma Carter and the greatest President in our lifetime, President Reagan back in 1980,  are still the very topics that are critical to our Nation's well being in 2012.

Recently, documents that were written over three years ago by the National Orgainziation for Marriage were found and publicized by radical secularist militant Gays in their quest to redefine the term marriage.  The documents are right out of Saul Alinsky's  Hunter Madsen's and Kirk Marshall's Playbook, as we've seen LilMarxistMoonbatTommyTomTomForNews post at least five different posts on the story here just to Political Forum,  so you know it's really got Tom's, and the rest of his  Gay MIlitant Movement crew's panties in a wad.

Brian Brown,  President of NOM,  wrote the following on Tuesday:

NOM Proud of Strong Record on Minority Partnerships

"We proudly bring together people of different races, creeds and colors to fight for our most fundamental institution: marriage."—Brian Brown, president—

Washington, D.C. — The following statement may be attributed to Brian S. Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage, concerning documents written in 2009 and provided by NOM to the state of Maine:

"The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) was formed in 2007 and has worked extensively with supporters of traditional marriage from every color, creed and background. We have worked with prominent African-American and Hispanic leaders, including Dr. Alveda C. King, Bishop George McKinney of the COGIC Church, Bishop Harry Jackson and the New York State Senator Reverend Rubén Díaz Sr., all of whom share our concern about protecting marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

"Gay marriage advocates have attempted to portray same-sex marriage as a civil right, but the voices of these and many other leaders have provided powerful witness that this claim is patently false. Gay marriage is not a civil right, and we will continue to point this out in written materials such as those released in Maine. We proudly bring together people of different races, creeds and colors to fight for our most fundamental institution: marriage."

====================

From the Washington Times, 03/29/2012:

"With the veil lifted, Americans everywhere can now see the ugly politics that the National Organization for Marriage" traffics in every day, said HRC President Joe Solmonese. HRC was first to post NOM's 2009 materials after they were unsealed in U.S. District Court in Maine this week.

NOM President Brian Brown on Tuesday stood behind the documents, saying they prove that NOM and its allies "proudly bring together people of different races, creeds and colors to fight for our most fundamental institution: marriage."

Mr. Brown says some sections of the disclosed documents could have been written better, "but the reality is that everyone knows what we're saying is true: that the Democratic Party is now waging war on African-Americans who believe that marriage is the union of a man and a woman." As a result, NOM has "supported plenty of Democrats who stood up against the party" on gay marriage, he added.

The outcry over the documents is "a tempest in a teapot," said NOM co-founder Maggie Gallagher.

"It must be a very slow news day ... if an organizational document that's three years old and lays out what we were going to do three years ago has become front-page news," she said.

Gay-rights groups are "claiming we're racist because we reach out to African-Americans and Latinos ... who care about the biblical understanding of marriage," said Ms. Gallagher, an author and syndicated columnist.

"One of the reasons we've been successful in reaching out to the black church in Maryland, or to spokespeople like Rev. Sen. [Ruben] Diaz in New York, is because, for us, it's not about Democrats and Republicans. It's about working with people across party lines who will support marriage," she said.

NOM, founded in 2007 to oppose same-sex marriage in states, is involved in this year's battles in Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, Minnesota and Washington state.

The newly unsealed NOM documents are part of a federal lawsuit in which NOM and Maine state officials are fighting over whether NOM has to comply with state campaign-disclosure laws.

In 2009, NOM spent about $2 million to defeat Maine's nascent gay-marriage law; Maine voters chose to keep man-woman unions by a vote of 53 percent to 47 percent. Supporters of gay marriage in Maine have revived the issue and placed a measure to legalize gay marriage on the November ballot.

The NOM documents do not identify its individual donors - a goal of gay activist and presidential candidate Fred Karger, who triggered the Maine lawsuit in 2009 when he filed a complaint over NOM's nondisclosure of its donors.

However, the release of the 2009 NOM strategy and fundraising documents is "much better than who the donors are," said Mr. Karger. NOM is "very devious, and we're finally getting a glimpse of how they operate," he said.

I salute NOM, and their dedication to preserving American values.   For exposing the frauds perpetrated by the likes of LilMarxistMoonbatTommyTomTomForNews, and other Gay Secularist Militants who have an agenda to destroy our Nation.

[[ From a friend.  ]]

Some homework for you.

Subject: FW: Fwd: Snopes no more

Wow...read this one! Then check out the suggested web sites!

Many of the emails that I have sent or forwarded that had any anti Obama in it were negated by Snopes.   I thought that was odd. Check this out.

Shades of Krystalnacht:

Snopes, Soros and the Supreme Court's Kagan.
Well now, I guess the time has come to check out Snopes! Ya' don't suppose it might not be a good time to take a second look at some of the stuff that got kicked in the ditch by Snopes, do ya'?

We've known that it was owned by a lefty couple but hadn't known it to be financed by Soros!

Snopes is heavily financed by George Soros, a big time supporter of Obama! In our Search for the truth department, we find what I have suspected on many occasions.

I went to Snopes to check something about the dockets of the new Supreme Court Justice. Elena Kagan, who Obama appointed, and Snopes said the email was false and there were no such dockets. So I Googled the Supreme Court, typed in Obama-Kagan, and guess what? Yep, you got it; Snopes Lied!  Every one of those dockets are there.

So Here is what I wrote to Snopes:
Referencing the article about Elana Kagan and Barak Obama dockets:
The information you have posted stating that there were no such cases as claimed and the examples you gave are blatantly false. I went directly to the Supreme Courts website, typed in Obama Kagan and immediately came up with all of the dockets that the article made reference to. I have long suspected that you really slant things but this was really shocking. Thank You. I hope you will be much more truthful in the future, but I doubt it.

That being said, I'll bet you didn't know this.

Kagan was representing Obama in all the petitions to prove his citizenship. Now she may help rule on them. Folks, this is really ugly.
Chicago Politics and the beat goes on and on and on. Once again the US Senate sold us out!

Now we know why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court. Pull up the Supreme Courts website, go to the docket and search for Obama. She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against him filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. He owed her big time. All of the requests were denied of course. They were never heard. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper, doesn't it? The American people mean nothing any longer.

It's all about payback time for those who compromised themselves to elect someone who really has no true right to even be there.

Here are some websites of the Supreme Court Docket: You can look up some of these hearings and guess what?

Elana Kagan is the attorney representing Obama!

Check out these examples:

The Supreme Court and Obama
Posted by Butler Shaffer on March 28, 2012 09:19 PM

James: I have another albeit a long-shot theory as to why the Supreme Court might declare Obamacare unconstitutional. It is clear that the framers of the Constitution intended Congress to be the principal site of political authority within the national government. Very quickly, however, and with the bloody and vicious nature of the French Revolution raising questions as to whether the democratic process might produce similar insanities in America, the Supreme Court in the case of Marbury v. Madison under Justice Marshall's leadership   usurped the power of the judiciary to sit in judgment on the actions of the legislative and executive branches. That there is no wording anywhere in the Constitution particularly Article III that even remotely suggests such power, has not hindered the Court's exercise of "judicial review."

Today, with the Bushobama administrations separating their authority to act from any constitutional authority or restraints, it might be that the Supreme Court  could be desirous of curbing the executive branch in its efforts to usurp power, including the Supreme Court's usurped power to sit in judgment of the other branches.

Can Ron Paul's Delegate Strategy Confound Conventional Wisdom?
Written by Michael Tennant
Monday, 26 March 2012 12:15

Don't count Ron Paul out yet. The Texas Congressman may not have secured any headline-grabbing victories in state primaries and caucuses. He may be trailing in the unofficial delegate counts based on these contests. But he is cheerfully pressing onward, confident that he can keep right on going all the way to the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Tampa and possibly even come out of the convention the GOP's nominee for President.

Even among Paul's most ardent supporters, few would now argue that the 76-year-old physician is anything but a long shot for the nomination. Long shots, however, occasionally pay off. And Paul has a strategy that he believes just might produce one of the most unexpected come-from-behind victories in U.S. political history.

The Paul campaign understands what few observers of the political scene -- and even many players within it -- realize: A significant number of the state primaries and caucuses covered by the national media as if they determined the Republican nominee are, as the Paul campaign likes to put it, "beauty contests" that make for an exciting horse race but may have little to do with who ultimately gets the nomination. The media report the popular vote results from a particular state and, unless it is a winner-take-all state, assume that each candidate will receive delegates to the RNC in roughly equal proportion to his share of the popular vote. Thus, reports typically state that Paul has only a tiny fraction of the delegates that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has and that therefore he has no chance of being the GOP nominee.

In fact, says Thomas Mullen of the Washington Times' Communities website, "no one knows" how many delegates any of the candidates has -- not even the Republican Party itself. We know that the delegates from winner-take-all states such as Florida will be bound to vote for the winners of their respective states' primaries during the first round of voting at the convention. Likewise, in some states (Nevada, for instance), during the first round delegates will be bound to certain candidates on the basis of the popular vote. Beyond that, Mullen writes, very little is certain:

In other states, the process is not that simple. A popular vote is held, but it's really no more than a preference poll or "straw poll." After the straw poll is closed, a series of meetings commence in which delegates are elected from a precinct, district or county, which then elect delegates to a state convention, which then elect the delegates to represent that state at the RNC. This process typically takes months after the straw poll is over and the resulting delegates for each candidate may bear little resemblance to the vote percentage that candidate won in the straw poll.

Paul's campaign believes that his supporters, typically more enthusiastic and devoted to his candidacy, are more likely to remain after the straw poll and participate in the delegate selection process. There is some evidence that they are correct. For example, the Iowa Republican Party confirms that delegate assignment has nothing to do with the straw poll and that Paul may secure the most delegates from Iowa.

Missouri provides additional evidence that Paul's delegate strategy could succeed. While former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum swept the state in the nonbinding presidential primary in February, he did not perform as well during the later caucuses.

The local caucuses chose over 2,000 delegates to regional conventions, which will then send people on to the state convention, where delegates to the RNC will be bound to vote for certain candidates. In several local caucuses Paul and Romney supporters teamed up to deny most or all of the delegates to Santorum. In at least three counties Santorum didn't get a single delegate while Paul got a majority of the delegates. In Greene County Paul got 65 delegates; Romney, 40; and Santorum, just six.

"We are focusing on caucus states, just like we always have," Paul Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton told U.S. News & World Report. "It puts us in the driver's seat to easily win many. There is still work to be done, and we understand that we are going to have to stay on our game to maintain our position."

The campaign believes that it may very well walk away with a majority or plurality of the delegates in several states.

"We are training people to go, show up and go through the delegate process," Benton added.

The campaign is also "hoarding cash" in order to make a good showing in California and Texas, Benton told MSNBC. Doing well in the popular vote in those big states would almost certainly secure some bound delegates from them. It could also provide a boost to fundraising and encourage more people to sign on as Paul delegates in the belief that he could win the nomination after all.

How he could win it is another matter. He is still highly unlikely to overtake Romney in the quest for a majority of the delegates to the RNC. However, if at least 1,144 delegates do not vote for Romney on the first ballot at the convention, there will be a "brokered convention." Delegates will vote a second time (and successive times if necessary); but after the first vote they are no longer committed to any particular candidate. "Then they can vote their conscience," Paul told Jay Leno last week. "Then I believe we'll get a lot of their votes."

Of course, one's conscience does not always win out over one's desire for partisan victory. People often vote for the candidate they think can win the general election even if they agree more with another candidate. In the event of a brokered convention, Paul will need to convince the now-unbound delegates that he is the one candidate who can defeat Barack Obama in November.

To that end, the Paul campaign has repeatedly highlighted polls showing that Paul is indeed a contender in a head-to-head matchup with the sitting President. Most recently, the campaign issued a press release trumpeting the results of a recent survey from Public Policy Polling that showed Romney losing to Obama 48 percent to 44 percent, but Paul leading him 46 percent to 43 percent. With the poll's margin of error being +/- 3.3 percentage points, that means Obama would defeat Romney, while he and Paul would be statistically tied. The poll also showed that Paul would perform better among independent voters, Hispanic voters, and 18-to-29-year-old voters than any of the other Republican candidates.

"The media may find an inevitability about Romney becoming nominee, but it is clear that with anyone other than Ron Paul as nominee a second term for Obama is the inevitability," Benton said in the press release.

With a brokered convention still a distinct possibility, the campaign will need to continue to drive home the message that Paul can become the next President of the United States if the Congressman hopes to win the nomination on a second or later ballot. Otherwise, the delegates previously committed to candidates other than Romney may very well hold their noses and cast their votes for the ex-Governor they think will return the White House to Republican hands.

ABC NEWS: Trayvon Martin Video Shows No Blood or Bruises on George Zimmerman

Trayvon Martin Video Shows No Blood or Bruises on George Zimmerman

By MATT GUTMAN (@mattgutmanABC)

March 28, 2012

A police surveillance video taken the night that Trayvon Martin was
shot dead shows no blood or bruises on George Zimmerman, the
neighborhood watch captain who says he shot Martin after he was
punched in the nose, knocked down and had his head slammed into the
ground.

The surveillance video, which was obtained exclusively by ABC News,
shows Zimmerman arriving in a police cruiser. As he exits the car, his
hands are cuffed behind his back. Zimmerman is frisked and then led
down a series of hallways, still cuffed.

Zimmerman, 28, is wearing a red and black fleece and his face and head
are cleanly shaven. He appears well built, hardly the portly young man
depicted in a 2005 mug shot that until a two days ago was the single
image the media had of Zimmerman.

The initial police report noted that Zimmerman was bleeding from the
back of the head and nose, and after medical attention it was decided
that he was in good enough condition to travel in a police cruiser to
the Sanford, Fla., police station for questioning.

His lawyer later insisted that Zimmerman's nose had been broken in his
scuffle with 17-year-old Martin.

In the video an officer is seen pausing to look at the back of
Zimmerman's head, but no abrasions or blood can be seen in the video
and he did not check into the emergency room following the police
questioning.

Zimmerman was not arrested although ABC News has learned that the lead
homicide investigator filed an affidavit urging Zimmerman be charged
with manslaughter. The prosecutor, however, told the officer to not
file the charge because there was not enough evidence for conviction.

Zimmerman said he was heading back to his car when Martin attacked
him. His lawyer, Craig Sonner, said his client felt "one of them was
going to die that night," when he pulled the trigger.

Martin's girlfriend, who was on the phone with him in his final
moments, told ABC News in an exclusive interview that she has not been
interviewed by police, despite Martin telling her he was being
followed.

The 16-year-old girl, who is only being identified as DeeDee,
recounted the final moments of her conversation with Martin before the
line went dead.

"When he saw the man behind him again he said this man is going to do
something to him. And then he said this man is still behind him and I
said run," she said.

Phone records obtained by ABC News show that the girl called Martin at
7:12 p.m., five minutes before police arrived, and remained on the
phone with Martin until moments before he was shot.

DeeDee said Martin turned around and asked Zimmerman why he was following him.

"The man said what are you doing around here?" DeeDee recalled
Zimmerman saying.

She said she heard someone pushed into the grass before the call was dropped.

Zimmerman, who had called 911, was asked by the dispatcher if he was
following the teen. When Zimmerman replied that he was, the dispatcher
said, "We don't need you to do that."

Martin's death has sparked protests across the country and prompted
President Obama to say that if he had a son, he would look like
Martin.

Over the past few days, leaks have emerged suggesting Martin was
dogged by discipline problems.

Martin had been slapped with a 10 day school suspension after a bag
with suspected marijuana was found in his backpack, Benjamin Crump,
the family's attorney, said.

Last year the teen was suspended for spraying graffiti on school
grounds. The Miami Herald reported that the school guard who stopped
him searched his backpack and found 12 items of women's jewelry and a
flathead screw driver that the guard believed to be a "burglary
implement." But Martin was never charged or specifically disciplined
for the incident.

Crump alleged that the Sanford police had leaked damaging information
about Martin in order to muddy the case, calling it a "conspiracy."
Crump called the school disciplinary problems "irrelevant" to the case
that "an unarmed 17 year kid was killed."
