"Yes, we ARE at war with Islam," say 73% of American voters

by barenakedislam

In other words, most American voters disagree with Barack Hussein Obama who said, "We are not—and never will be—at war with Islam. It was not a religion that attacked us that September day. It was al-Qaeda."

WND  Rasmussen Reports found that 73% of mainstream U.S. voters believe there is a conflict in the world between Western civilization and Islamic nations, and a plurality (49%) believe most of the world's Muslims view America as an enemyThe numbers became even more significant when separating mainstream U.S. voters from a group Rasmussen calls the "political class." Only half of Rasmussen's "political class" acknowledges a global conflict, and 62 percent reject the idea that Muslims view the U.S. as an enemy.

A series of polls released over the last few weeks shows most Americans believe a global conflict is raging between Islam and the West.

Specifically, Rasmussen Reports polls found that 63 percent of likely U.S. voters believe a battle is brewing, while only 18 percent deny the divide.

Furthermore, when asked about many Western nations' support of the populist uprisings known as "the Arab Spring," only 26 percent of voters think the United States should do more to encourage the growth of democracy in the Islamic world, while 58 percent say the United States should leave things alone.

Similarly, 61 percent of mainstream voters suspect a terrorist attack in the U.S. in the next year is likely, while 70 percent of the political class see little or no chance of such an attack.

Rasmussen found that taken as a whole, however, only 11 percent of likely U.S. voters think the war on terror is over, while 79 percent say that war, declared after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America, is still ongoing.

Rasmussen explains it defines "political class" as the subset of Americans whose answers to poll questions reveal they look primarily to governing elite – rather than the American people – to best rule the nation.

The "political class," therefore, isn't actually composed of D.C. and Wall Street insiders, but Rasmussen explains, "Experience has shown that political class voters share the views and attitudes of the elites they support. … In many cases, the gap between the mainstream view and the political class is larger than the gap between mainstream Republicans and Democrats."

On the issue of international Islamic relations, Rasmussen found 80 percent of Republicans and 62 percent of unaffiliated believe there is a global conflict today between Western civilization and the Islamic world. Just 46 percent of Democrats agreed.

There's little partisan disagreement, however, when it comes to what the United States should do about it, Rasmussen found: Majorities of all three groups say America should stop fueling the Arab Spring that has already toppled several more secular governments in the Muslim world.

AGAIN! Filthy Muslim videotaped bellowing the Islamic Call to Prayer at the Woodbury Common outlet mall in Harriman, NY

by barenakedislam

This time security comes over, but who do they confront? NOT the Muslim, but the person who was videotaping the shrieking spectacle of Islamic supremacism in action. The cameraman was warned not to take videos in the mall. The Muslim finally leaves, but not because he was told to by security.

Feds Willing to Destroy Millions of Vital Records Just to Protect Barack Obama

May 12, 2012 byda Tagliare

obama draft cardThere are numerous reasons for law enforcement and professional organizations to request copies of records from the Selective Service System. Sometimes the request is for a background check for a job or security clearance. Other requests are made because of individuals who have made unsubstantiated claims about their backgrounds and qualifications. Yet others are prompted by someone running for political office.

For decades the Selective Service has readily complied with the requests and furnished the desired documents. That is until they heard that they would be receiving an official subpoena for copies of Barack Hussein Obama's records.

On September 16, 2011, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office announced that their Cold Case Posse was launching an investigation into the birth certificate and Selective Service documents. World Net Daily picked up the announcement and made it known nationally.

On September 20, 2011, The Selective Service System announced new policy changes to the privacy rules, handling and preservation of existing documents. Under the new guidelines, draft registration records would be considered as nonrecord copies instead of record copies. Record copies must be kept on file, but nonrecord copies can be disposed of and destroyed. That means that any and all draft registration cards and microfilm copies are now subject to being destroyed, including the one belonging to Obama.

Incidentally, the Selective Service System's policies on privacy and preservation of records had not been changed in over 11 years, but we are to believe that it is mere coincidence that it was suddenly changed at this moment of time.

The only public record of Obama's draft registration was a copy of a Selective Service registration card that was obtained by Stephen Coffman just prior to the 2008 election. Coffman is a retired immigration officer who placed the request for the card after his retirement from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Michael Zullo, the lead investigator of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Cold Case Posse, and his team, examined the draft registration card obtained by Coffman and determined that it was a forgery. Sheriff Arpaio has sent two official letters to the Selective Service System and as yet has never received any of the records requested.

The reason the Selective Service record is so important is to determine if Barack Obama actually did register for the draft as a US citizen or if in fact he was a foreign student who attended Occidental College in Los Angeles. Only US citizens are required to register with the Selective Service System on their 18th birthday, foreign nationals are not so required.

If Obama was a US citizen as he claims, then there would have to have been a record of his Selective Service registration and status. Since the copy obtained by Coffman has been shown to be a forgery, that means the only way to prove that he had registered would be to obtain copies of his paperwork and records. But if they have been conveniently destroyed under the new policy, then there is no way to officially verify his draft registration and citizenship.

Many Americans are asking the same question about Obama's citizenship. If he truly is a US citizen, then why is he trying to so hard to hide the documentation to prove it? It seems that he would want to exonerate himself and end all of the controversy once and for all. His constant refusal to make his records available only makes him look as guilty as sin and pours fuel on the fires of doubt and conspiracy.

So like so many others, I say, Mr Obama, either verify your eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States or get the heck out of OUR White House!

I don't know who wrote this, but it's worth sharing...

Top Ten "Only in America could" >>>>>

1) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich
at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still
discriminates against black Americans when we have a black President,
a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is
black. 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in America could we have had the two people most responsible
for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury
Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means
Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher
taxes.

4) Only in America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of
Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims
might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in America would we make people who want to legally become
American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens
of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting
anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just become American
citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the
budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as
"extremists."

7) Only in America could you need to present a driver's license to
cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate
whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas
went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company
(Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes
(Nike).

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from
the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion
dollars more than it has per year for total spending of $7 million PER
MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America could the rich people who pay 86% of all income
taxes be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't
pay any income taxes at all.

New post on Scotty Starnes's Blog

Obama is a One-Percenter: Obama Worth as Much as $10 Million

by Scotty Starnes

Remember, Obama hates those one-percenters who he claims do not pay their "fair share." Obama is making most of his money from his fictional biography full of composite fake characters.

From USA Today:

Three things are apparent from President Obama's annual financial disclosure statement, released today:

He is a wealthy man, with assets of as much as $10 million.

He has a hefty stake in JPMorgan Chase, the megabank that just made a bad $2 billion bet. Obama has an account worth between $500,000 and $1 million.

Despite the nation's $15.6 trillion debt, he is a believer in government paper. More than half of his assets are in Treasury bills and notes.

The disclosure statement lists assets and liabilities in dollar ranges, so pinpointing the president's net worth is difficult. His assets appear to tally between $2.6 million and $9.9 million. He holds a mortgage on his Chicago home of $500,000 to $1 million.

As was clear from Obama's income tax filing, much of his income continues to roll in from book royalties. The disclosure form lists $100,000 to $1 million in royalties from Dreams From My Father, $100,000 to $1 million from Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters, and $50,000 to $100,000 from The Audacity of Hope.

I'm kind of surprised to see Capital Steps mocking Obammy. They usually are pretty left wing. But they do have some very funny bits. I wonder if they put out DVDs?

It's Romney's to Lose: Here's How He Does It
Robin Koerner
Posted: 05/16/2012 12:09 pm

Many of Ron Paul's supporters are currently abuzz with a letter that was written by Jennifer Sheehan, the RNC's legal council in 2008, which appears to state that no state delegate to the GOP convention is bound by his state to vote for a particular candidate. The excitement derives from the fact that if it were true, an outright Romney victory in the first round of voting at the convention in Tampa would be rather unlikely. But if it is not true -- and I am sure the GOP will change rules if necessary to make it untrue -- there may be just as much excitement to be had in the possibility of something that is rather more in the control of Paul's supporters.

It's the big "What if?" question that the letter begs but that few have asked.

What if Paul's supporters just ignore the binding rules and vote their consciences? What if, in Tampa, all those Paul supporters who are bound by state rules to vote for Romney put the ball firmly back in the GOP's court, and say, "Your move"?

One's first reaction might be to point out that if that were possible, it would have happened before.

But that would be a mistake. The GOP is now in uncharted territory.

Romney's support has proven so shallow and Paul's so deep that, all over the country, at GOP meetings in which delegates are selected to represent a county at the state convention or a state at the national convention, there are too many Paulites in the room to allow pro-Romney party officials to get their favored slates pushed through without underhanded shenanigans. This is having important effects. The most immediately important of these is that, in states where delegates are bound to vote for the candidate who won the state's primary vote (often Romney), the delegates who care enough to actually participate in the process are Paul supporters, and they are selecting Paul-favoring delegates. For example, whereas of the 28 delegates that Nevada will be sending to Tampa, eight are bound to Paul and 20 are bound to Romney, 14 of Romney's eight are really Ron Paul supporters who'd only be voting for Romney because they are "bound" to. And in Colorado, where 14 delegates are bound to Romney, and only two to Paul, what the official numbers don't say is that the 16 uncommitted are probably all Paul supporters.

So if the Paul supporters were not bound, they may indeed have the numbers, and therefore the means, to stop Romney in the first round of voting. But would they have the chutzpah to unbind themselves -- and a reasonable expectation that if they caused such creative chaos, the outcome could be favorable? I think they do -- courtesy of the GOP itself.

Romney's Achilles' heel is a moral one. It is the sum of all of the cheating that has been done in his favor by the party. For example...

In Oklahoma, party officials pulled out a ballroom divider to cordon off Ron Paul supporters and shut them out of participation. Later they turned out the lights. Voice votes that were clearly lost were declared won.

In Alaska, party officials defeated the majority by retaining the committee which "interpreted rules" and later, after taking the delegation, reluctantly gave up the party control to the new majority but transferred all of the money out of the Republican Party accounts.

In Virginia, at a district convention, officials coaxed the Ron Paul delegation outside and then locked the door. The pastor of the church that was hosting the event was, himself, locked outside.

In Missouri, officials had all the delegates sign up at county conventions and then had their county chairman take the rolls outside and lock them in their car trunks so they could block roll call voting and have their chairman declare lost voice votes as won.

And so on, and so on.

The full list, of which is the above is a tiny part, not only provides a moral justification for Paul's people to refuse to play ball at the convention: more importantly, it explains why such hardball could actually work. After all, which fair-minded American wouldn't like to see powerful partisans punished for their arrogance? Which Democrat or Independent or even average American who doesn't care much for politics but feels seriously let down by a political elite who act out of a sense of entitlement rather than a sense of service -- which of them wouldn't think the Paul people were doing no more than giving as good as they had gotten... especially when the nation is reminded that the GOP wasn't bound by its own rules when it chose to provide material support to Romney while the race was still ongoing.

Imagine it. At last, their rEVOLution would have to be televised, and what good TV it would be -- the very stuff that cable infotainment is made of.

When a reporter from CNN interviews a delegate from Nevada with faintly disapproving confusion, the delegate might say, "We wish we didn't have to do it, but at the state convention in 2008, the party officers turned out the lights and left in the middle of the meeting just so our vote for Ron Paul wouldn't be counted. So we think it's payback time."

And when that airs, I don't think many Americans would disagree with him. Yet, plenty would think that in a small way, the Paulbots had just landed a punch on behalf of a nation that has wondered for too long how to get through to that special elite that long ago forgot who works for whom.

What could the GOP do about it?

If it were to disqualify all those self-unbinding delegates, the fracture -- and more importantly, the story that it told -- would huge. The Democrats would eat it up and the GOP would have just told 20% of its own base that they are not wanted. Even if Romney could still win the nomination, the GOP would have just lost the election.

So the better course would be for the GOP to count Paul's delegates' votes, and Romney would be unlikely to win on the first round. His mantle as the one who could obviously beat Obama would be tarnished if he couldn't clearly beat his one Republican rival. Not only the liberty Republicans, but also the social Conservatives who never really trusted Romney anyway, would be in a position to choose a candidate they really cared for in the subsequent rounds.

And that's when the narrative would really change.

Everyone knows that in a second ballot, Romney's vote would fall, making him less credible, and (here's the safest bet in American politics) Paul's rises, making him the most exciting ticket in town.

Once the inevitability of Romney's nomination disappears, everyone will be free to admit that it was only the illusion of inevitability that made him look like, well, the inevitable nominee in the first place.

If the Mormon halo flickers, that very human capacity that has so far served Romney so well -- the post hoc justification of something believed to be in one's self-interest -- would swing, in short order, in Paul's favor. People get very excited about an underdog who can win -- especially if he is an underdog that was kept down by nefarious means.

Is this possibility or fantasy? At the time of writing, the official bound state delegate counts out of the few states that have already held their state conventions are 33 for Paul and 73 for Romney, but the number of delegates from these states that are known to favor Paul and Romney are 65 and 59, respectively. All other delegate numbers are at this point projections or speculation.

Those who look at the mountain that Ron Paul has to climb and wonder, "How?" might find their answer by looking at the mountain that Romney has to tumble down, and asking the very same question.

Friends,

You can expect much campaign talk in the weeks and months ahead about fairness and equality.  There will also be lots of finger-pointing at business and finance firms as the cause of our economic woes.  In short, what you'll hear is an effort to make the moral case for European-style social democracy in America.

So how are Europeans faring under their social democratic system?  Take my wife's native country of Spain.  Unemployment there is at 24.4 percent, with youth joblessness more than double that.  Nearly half of adults under 35 now live with their parents.  The collective happiness of Spaniards--already relatively low--has withered.

Faced with these realities, statists in America know they can't make the economic case for social democracy.  That's why they make the moral case instead.  How do they do it?  By arguing that the moral core of free enterprise is greed.

At AEI, we are showing what free enterprise is really about--earned success

Earned success is what our founders meant when they promised the "pursuit of happiness."  It's the ability to create value in your life or in the lives of others.  To do this, you must be able to define what success means to you and then pursue it with all your might.

My AEI colleagues are discussing a wide range of issues related to free enterprise and earned success.  Kevin Hassett has been addressing the human disaster of unemployment, Leon Kass the need to find meaning in America, and James Pethokoukis the growing attacks on the private sector.  (You can find more of our work here.)

Earned success is a major theme in my new book, The Road to Freedom.  It's also a subject I've been talking about in dozens of media outlets recently, such as Fox & Friends, Stossel, and CNBC's Squawk Box, as well as in the most recent AEI Banter podcast.

I'll be discussing The Road to Freedom at a livestreamed event at AEI tonight.  If you have questions about the book or AEI's broader work on free enterprise, email them to roadtofreedom@aei.org or tweet them during the event with #roadtofreedom.  I'll answer the best ones live.

The fight for free enterprise is on.  Thank you for standing with us.

Arthur

The National Debt in Pictures

by Sard

This is mind-boggling . . .

One Hundred Dollars

$100 - Most counterfeited money denomination in the world. Keeps the world moving.

Ten Thousand Dollars

$10,000 - Enough for a great vacation or to buy a used car. Approximately one year of work for the average human on earth.

One Million Dollars

$1,000,000 - Not as big of a pile as you thought, huh? Still this is 92 years of work for the average human on earth.

One Hundred Million Dollars

$100,000,000 - Plenty to go around for everyone. Fits nicely on an ISO / Military standard sized pallet.

One Billion Dollars

$1,000,000,000 - You will need some help when robbing the bank. Now we are getting serious!

One Trillion Dollars

$1,000,000,000,000

When the U.S government speaks about a 1.7 trillion deficit - this is the volumes of cash the U.S. Government borrowed in 2010 to run itself.

Keep in mind it is double stacked pallets of $100 million dollars each, full of $100 dollar bills. You are going to< need a lot of trucks to freight this around.

If you spent $1 million a day since Jesus was born, you would have not spent $1 trillion by now...but ~$700 billion - same amount the banks got during bailout.

One Trillion Dollars

Comparison of $1,000,000,000,000 dollars to a standard-sized American Football field and European Football field.

Say hello to the Boeing 747-400 transcontinental airliner that's hiding on the right. This was until recently the biggest passenger plane in the world.

15 Trillion Dollars

$15,000,000,000,000 - US national debt (credit bill) has just topped the 15 trillion 2 months before Christmas 2011.

Statue of Liberty seems rather worried as United States national debt passes 20% of the entire world's combined GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In 2011 the National Debt will exceed 100% of GDP, and venture into the 100%+ debt-to-GDP ratio that the European PIIGS have (bankrupting nations).

$ 114.5 Trillion Dollars

$114,500,000,000,000. - US unfunded liabilities

To the right you can see the pillar of cold hard $100 bills that dwarfs the WTC & Empire State Building - both at one point world's tallest buildings. If you look carefully you can see the Statue of Liberty.

The 114.5 Trillion dollar super-skyscraper is the amount of money the U.S. Government knows it does not have to fully fund the Medicare, Medicare Prescription Drug Program, Social Security, Military and civil servant pensions. It is the money USA knows it will not have to pay all its bills.

If you live in USA this is also your personal credit card bill; you are responsible along with everyone else to pay this back. The citizens of USA created the U.S. Government to serve them, this is what the U.S. Government has done while serving The People.

The unfunded liability is calculated on current tax and funding inputs, and future demographic shifts in US Population.

Note: On the above 114.5T image the size of the base of the money pile is half a trillion, not $1T as on 15T image. The height is double. This was done to reflect the base of Empire State and WTC more closely.
