Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this…
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing The fifth would pay $1 The sixth would pay $3 The seventh would pay $7 The eighth would pay $12 The ninth would pay $18 The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve ball. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20″. Drinks for the ten men would now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his fair share?
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.
So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by a h higher percentage the poorer he was, to follow the principle of the tax system they had been using, and he proceeded to work out the amounts he suggested that each should now pay.

And so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% saving). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% saving). The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% saving). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% saving). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% saving). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% saving).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20 saving," declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,"but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar too. It's unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!" "That's true!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back, when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison, "we didn't get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks so the nine sat down and had their beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and government ministers, is how our tax system works. The people who already pay the highest taxes will naturally get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Oh, now I get it. :(

DC Comics having one their popular characters come out of the closet, report says

Fox News: Could Superman be gay?

Honchos at Superman's comic book home, DC Comics, said this weekend that one of their most identifiable (but as of yet unnamed) straight characters will soon be coming out of the closet, according to a report.

At the Kapow Comic Convention held last weekend in London, DC co-publisher Dan DiDio said the publisher would be reintroducing a previously existing character who would now be "one of our most prominent gay characters," the website BleedingCool.com reports.

Didio said DC's position had shifted on the subject since he said in an interview last year that any homosexual characters would be new introductions, and that none of their existing characters' sexual orientations would shift.

DC vice president Bob Wayne likened DC's change in tune to President Obama's shift on gay marriage, explaining that DC's policy "has evolved," the report says.

Archie Comics introduced a homosexual character, Kevin Keller, in 2010. In Keller's initial story line, "Isn't It Bromantic?", Veronica expresses interest in dating Kevin but he is uninterested. As he and Jughead bond over their mutual love of food, Kevin explains that he does not want to date Veronica because he is gay. Archie Comics co-CEO Jon Goldwater explained that including an openly gay character is a way to keep the world of Archie Comics inclusive and updated. "It shows that Riverdale is in the 21st century."

So when are these comic books going to "evolve" and have a character in a plural marriage? What about a character that favors bestiality? What about one that favors little boys? After all, "you can choose to love whoever you love."

Going after our kids, in every direction possible.

The National Field Marshal for the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), King

Samir Shabazz, engaged in multiple vicious tirades on his national radio

show this weekend, calling for broad violence against whites.

Shabazz, you may remember, made national news in 2008 when the

Department of Justice brought a voter intimidation suit against him and

a NBPP accomplice. They got in trouble for wearing Black Panther

uniforms and brandishing a police-style baton outside a Philadelphia

precinct during the Presidential election. Shabazz was charged on the

grounds of violations to the Voting Rights Act.

But on May 29, 2009, against the advice of prosecutors who had worked on

the case, the Department of Justice ordered the suit dropped, even

though Shabazz and the other defendants in the case refused to appear in

federal court.

This is our annual Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia Convention, where we will elect new officers and discuss our liberty agenda. Officer positions open include: Chair; Vice Chair; Secretary; Treasurer; At-Large Board members.

The Convention is taking place at12:00 PM at Ireland's Four Courts, which is located less than a block away from the Courthouse Metro Station (Orange Line) in Arlington, VA. Parking in the area is somewhat limited, so please arrive a bit early to allow time to find parking. Ireland's Four Courts is allowing us to have the use of their James Joyce room, so please buy a drink or appetizers (or more) to help us support their business.

To help propel our small organization forward, we are requesting a small $10 donation from attendees who are not members of the Republican Liberty Caucus. We all know the experience of being forced to buy "Made in China" products, because there is no alternative. We can expect the squeeze to be even greater, as the Chinese government oozes into every facet of our economy and way of life. To add to the outrage of our glorious leader selling our natural gas and oil to China [see Eowyn's article here] the communists are farther entrenched here than the SRM is reporting. But why? Why is all the attention directed towards the Middle East, but none toward the Far East? And why is the "red" carpet being rolled out for them?

Take a look at these developments -

(CNN) -- China's Dalian Wanda Group and AMC Entertainment announced Monday a $2.6 billion deal to take over the U.S. theater group, forming the world's largest cinema chain, according to a new release on the deal.

The move is the latest in a raft of deals between U.S. entertainment companies and Chinese firms, linking the world's largest theater market with the world's fastest growing.

"This acquisition will help make Wanda a truly global cinema owner, with theatres and technology that enhance the movie-going experience for audiences in the world's two largest movie markets," said Wang Jianlin, chairman and president of Wanda.

Wanda, a private company that previously operated solely in China, generates $16.7 billion in annual revenue from its commercial development and entertainment businesses, the company said. The group owns 86 theaters with 730 screens in China.

"As the film and exhibition business continues its global expansion, the time has never been more opportune to welcome the enthusiastic support of our new owners. . .

WASHINGTON – Chinese officials are not amused with U.S. plans to collaborate with Asian allies to develop a ballistic missile shield to protect Asia, according to a report in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

The Chinese claim that such a system will have a negative impact on global and regional strategic stability "and go against the security needs of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region," according to Luo Zhaohu, Asian affairs chief for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

"The Chinese government always insists that countries should start by maintaining global strategic stability and promoting strategic mutual trust between major powers to handle the issue of missile defense prudently," Luo said without elaborating.

The Obama administration has been in discussions since March with officials from Australia, Japan and South Korea over an anti-missile system for the region.

It would be based on a U.S. "phased adaptive approach" to deploy a combination of land- and sea-based missile interceptors in the region. The "phased adaptive approach" is similar to the anti-missile system which the United States wants to deploy in Europe against a possible missile attack from Iran.

(Reuters) - China can now bypass Wall Street when buying U.S. government debt and go straight to the U.S. Treasury, in what is the Treasury's first-ever direct relationship with a foreign government, according to documents viewed by Reuters.

The relationship means the People's Bank of China buys U.S. debt using a different method than any other central bank in the world.

The other central banks, including the Bank of Japan, which has a large appetite for Treasuries, place orders for U.S. debt with major Wall Street banks designated by the government as primary dealers. Those dealers then bid on their behalf at Treasury auctions.

China, which holds $1.17 trillion in U.S. Treasuries, still buys some Treasuries through primary dealers, but since June 2011, that route hasn't been necessary.

The documents viewed by Reuters show the U.S. Treasury Department has given the People's Bank of China a direct computer link to its auction system, which the Chinese first used to buy two-year notes in late June 2011.

China can now participate in auctions without placing bids through primary dealers. If it wants to sell, however, it still has to go through the market.

The change was not announced publicly or in any message to primary dealers.

So is this a Chinese/communist takeover? Or is it something far more subtle? I'll go with subtle. Communism is never subtle. This is a NWO, One World Government takeover. With the way things look right now - following the advent of "Arab Spring," the formerly independent nations of the Middle East are now firmly in the grasp of international bankers. Only China could be termed "non-compliant." Only China is outside of the tentacles of the Central Bankers - but not for long apparently.

The Chinese will soon be part of what we are part of -

The facility, being built at Utah's Camp Williams, was the focus of an extensive recent Wired article written by NSA expert James Bamford.

Under construction by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors with top-secret clearances since January, the controversial, heavily fortified $2 billion Utah Data Center is slated to be up and running by September 2013. Its purpose will be "to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world's communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks," according to Bamford.

Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital "pocket litter." It is, in some measure, the realization of the "total information awareness" program created during the first term of the Bush administration—an effort that was killed by Congress in 2003 after it caused an outcry over its potential for invading Americans' privacy. As the Reuter's article stated - China is being allowed, for now, to buy US treasuries directly, without going through a "broker" (central bank.) But, [and it's a HUGE but] they can only buy independently - if they want to sell - they have to go through the broker! Gotcha! As Gollum would say, very tricksy. The Chinese' overall greed, lust for power, and overweening desire to spread their culture will lead them right into the jaws of the beast, while simultaneously destroying our economy. It's a two-fer.
