"One of the most pernicious effects of authoritarianism is that it engages its victims as complicit in their own abuse. You might call it Stockholm Syndrome, or 'traumatic bonding.' Then again, there are also people who, for lack of a more clinical term, simply like to lick the authoritarian boot.

 

 

 "They will remain unconvinced that anything wrong is being done, no matter how many facts are presented to them.

 

"Sommer Gentry is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the U.S. Naval Academy. A couple of years ago, she was sexually assaulted by a TSA agent at an airport checkpoint. She is, of course, not alone; thousands of people have been similarly assaulted.

"Since then, Gentry refuses to be scanned or groped. Surprise surprise,

Can bald eagles swim?

I thought this was pretty amazing footage, and worth sharing.  I had no clue what the Hell a, "Nutria" was until I went and looked it up.....Don't think we had "Nutria's" around the Hillsborough River when I was a youngun'.....

This  footage was taken at Mallard Lakes subdivision in Baton Rouge .

 

Someone had shot a nutria, and it was floating dead in the  water.
